Long gun prices in 2014

If all the people who are saying they will not buy any more long guns are serious you can expect prices to go up.

I don't expect any change over 10%
if you already have handguns, the government knows you have guns and they can probably assume there are rifles and shotguns that you bought before 2014 so as Hillary would say, "what difference does it make"www.culinagrips.com

Not all gun owners are on Calguns. You'd be surprised how many have never heard of it.
I would say a good number (How many? Who knows?) don't know & don't care about registration. They're gonna go down & buy a gun & fill out the paperwork."He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.

Most of the gun owners in this state don't even though this registration law passed. They think their long guns were already registered. I know....because my bro n laws didn't know otherwise until I told them. We have tons and tons of ignorant sheep out there that will bow down and do anything that is asked of them.Comment

Cal Guns is a very small sliver of the people who own guns in California.
Most people could care less if their guns are registered, because it's already not hard to find out who owns what. Any gun that has ever been bought using dros paperwork has a record of make, model, serial #, and buyer. All this new registration does is make it a little easier for someone in the govt to find out what you own. Not that I support registration but it's not changing much.Comment

negative ghost rider. any HANDgun that has ever been bought using dros paperwork has...blah blah blah. long gun that were dros'd were only done so for the purpose of a background check. all that is on the paperwork under gun model is "long gun." the state has no idea if it was a single shot crickett 22lr or an evil black .308.
I don't own any guns...they're dangerous.

No, there might be a two week to a month slow down but, I really doubt it will have any lasting impact on the volume of long guns sold in CA every year.

Yea, CGN might not have every gun owner in CA registered but, the super TFH guys won't register on any site or register their firearms. You're completely misinformed about how long gun registration only makes it a little easier. First of all, I have legally bought and many long guns without any paperwork in CA, now, the next time these exact guns are transferred, they will be entered into the system. In a few short years, LEOs will start believing that all firearms are required to be registered and start arresting people for possession of unregistered firearms. Well, this has already been happening in CA but, it will become a lot more prevalent soon. I'm willing to bet that there are far more gun owners in CA who do care about registration than the few liberals who own guns that you seem to know.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

I don't see much change. Possibly a down dip for a short period of time but after that, I think it will go back to where it was.
In fact, I just ordered an H&R Handi Rifle in cal 500 S&W magnum and it will fall under the full registration law.sigpic
