There are more people going to the range!

I went to Metcalf range in San Jose yesterday with my family at noon. I have been to this range the last couple of years quite regularly. So I know what the foot traffic is like. When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd! It's like black friday at the mall! Long guns, pistols, doesn't matter. The lanes were packed! There were quite a few novices learning and observing, too.

The private range next door was conducting a tactical shooting class and that's packed like a sardine as well.

I like what I saw. There are more and more of us gun owners and pro2A crowd!

Our gun club has had a waiting list for new members for about 4 years!! Look how busy Front Sight is, and most of the people are from Cali....

Chabot was ridiculously packed yesterday. People waiting for lanes everywhere. Lot of groups sharing lanes.

i was at the local range (iron sights) on thursday and it was 1.5hr wait. i was hoping to test some ammo and be home in 1.5 lol.... ill have to come back another day right at opening

Was at chabot myself yesterday, got there around 12:30 and had to wait for a rifle lane to open. Surprised by the big groups hangin out and family's with their kids shooting, it was good to see.

they close at 10pm, i got around 8:00pm it's still busy but you can usually get a lane either without waiting of within 10-15 min.

How was their trap range. Was it packed too? I live in San Jose myself but had never tried Metcalf, got to try it out sometime.

It's a good thing! I got up early Christmas morn. & hit some BLM land, good times! The SD ranges are usually packed!

Christmas guns and the fact that ammo is starting to come back. Walmart today had a full ammo case for the first time in a loooooooong time

USI was jam packed today. Went out with a friend with our kids in tow for an AK day. It's sure nice to see people bringing others out to introduce them to the sport.
I hate going to public range again after spending a lot of time on the MP range. It's was not cool to have the line swept twice by the same guy.
Who was walked out very soon after the second infraction. -g
