The one that got away, is (almost) back home

So in my time as a gun owner I have bought and sold quite a few firearms. I'll see one I want, pick it up, then down the line see the dust on it and send it on to a new owner.
Last year this was the case for my Para P16 that I had built up after I bought it from a member here. It was solid but in pretty poor condition so I spent a great amount of time and effort to get it to tip-top shape and turned it into an accurate fun shooting SOB. For some reason after all that hard work I put it on the marketplace and after a few days I had completed the PPT to its new owner.
A few times since I have gone to the range and just REALLY missed that thing. I missed how accurate it was, how smooth and crisp the trigger was. All of it. Right when I thought I was over it, I got an email. Quite a surprise really. The member I sold it to was going to shop it on the marketplace and wanted to give me first crack. It must have been serendipity, because I just happened to have a few extra bucks in my pocket, so after a couple emails back and forth, we agreed to terms and yesterday DROS'd it back into my name. Now I have to wait 10 days to get her home, but I have had this warm feeling of completeness since the deal was done. I promise never to sell her again...well...anyways.
So nothing of this story is of any real substance. No lesson to learn or anything like that. Just wanted to share.
Oh...well I guess there is a lesson learned. If you ever buy a used gun and are getting ready to sell it on, give the original owner a shout...he/she may be missing it and it might just be the quickest easiest sell you've ever had!

congrats! perhaps this experience does offer a life lesson; although for most not so, sometimes you can go back home.

Nice, to this day I still miss my 930 spx and wish I would not have sold it.

Lucky you. Treat her right this time.

I do regret selling my P13 way back when still.

Congrats. I'm very happy for you both.

If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was, and always will be yours. If it never returns, it was never yours to begin with.
