Well, I don't know if my review counts, but I use them for all my outdoor rifle/pistol shooting. I can't get a good cheek-weld with my rifle wearing full ear-muffs, which is why I tried these out. For about $15, you really can't beat them.

If you find yourself under an outdoor canopy, the impact on your ears will be a quite a bit stronger. But they still work fine for me. In an outdoor setting, they function perfectly. These are NOT for use by themselves indoors.

You'll note in the linked picture in my last post, there a canald that you can plug up. I keep the canals open. The canal itself will react to the sudden sound-wave of gun-fire and close in on itself. You can still hear pretty well in that configuration (when no one is firing).

If you try these out, I suggest buying a pair of mediums and larges to make sure you get the best fit.

Muffs do get warm but you can get them off quickly in order to hear what's being said, which is very important with TFTT training. Plugs, done correctly, take a little manipulation. Powered muffs are the best way to go, if you can afford them.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he's too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

For a training class where hearing commands and instructions is vital, I'd recommend electronic muffs.
