Guns I sold....and Regret....

iI am selling my like new yugo SKS today. of all the guns i had last year i only have one a M-44 romanian. but i traded up for guns i wanted more. not interested in keeping guns i no longer want. traded the SKS for a real nice Finn M39. no regrets.

when you must part with a gun from your collection, the general rule is to sell the one that is easiest to replace (all other things being equal).

In 1976 at the San Jose gun show I was debating on buying a Walther ppk .32auto, with the Swastick embedded on the hand grip for $250. I bought a Walther P38 made by Spreewerk with brown bakelite handgrips for $175. Great shape.
Bought a nice Remington 700, BDL, 30-09 for $280 from Best products.
bought the same year in 1983, Dan Wesson, 357 with 8" barrel.
Bought a Winchester 12gauge, pump with Winchoke sytem, for $185 from Gemco at their going out of business sale.
Sold them all and regret it!!

I bought a LaRue PredatOBR 7.62 and was going to sell my AR and M1A to make up for it. Now I'm not going to unless I'm going broke.

I have never sold one but bought a rifle from a friend that I see about every three weeks.

Me too, never sold any of mine. Thank goodness I got a huge gun safe so I don't need to sell any of them. :-)

^ I miss mine. I traded for a glock 34. I even had nice holsters for it and special mags. Oh well. It was a great shooter but I was convinced that I couldn't rack that skinny slide under stress.

My local gun friends and I are all 'Black Holes of Guns' - Firearms only come in, they don't go out.
