LOL i was just about to start a thread like this! I feel better now that I'm not the only one who has gun regrets!

I traded my very first gun that I bought back when I was 21 years old.

A 1994 West German SiG Sauer P228 9mm with a few factory standard 13rd magazines, original box and manual. All in great condition. Even after 800+rds or so.

          DAMn! I miss that gun!

          EDIT: added pic

Here it is without the standard mags...

Ah, SVt-40, that breaks my heart....

                    For me...

                    SCAR 16s

                    Walther PPQ

S&W M&P (hope to get another this week)

                    Sig P226R

                    CZ 75D

I purchased (and sold) two CZ SP-01's before buying a third. I will KEEP this one.

I have found that when I was new to shooting, I didn't really know HOW to shoot and kept trying to find the right handgun that made me a good shooter. Once my skills developed, I realize that I can be a good(ish) shooter with almost any handgun. Wish I would have kept several that I unloaded years ago.

I have never sold one but bought a rifle from a friend that I see about every three weeks. Guess what he asks me? Over and over again.

i sold a collection many years ago. no regrets for selling the collection; selling it was the cost to be the boss. for better or worse, my taste in guns hasn't changed much since then. over the years i've been slowly replacing guns that can be replaced, one at a time. i also occasionally pick up an example of a gun that i've never owned before.

at least you guys got some kind of $$$ for your guns

I GAVE my brother my Colt King Cobra 4" Stainless .357 revolver years ago

Never thought they would stop making them, or, that, they would become such an item

worse part, he STILL HAS IT...every time I visit him, I'm tempted to ask for it back...he loves it

at least it's still in the family

I don't exactly regret my sales. They had their reason, but I didn't buy bad guns either. Sold my Walther P99c, Glock 20SF, Saiga .308, and the Cali-legal AR15 Carbine I built. Very happy with what I have now, but thinking about a shotgun.

I'm not a collector of rare guns, so I have never sold a gun that I couldn't just go out and buy again if I wanted.
