Wish I'd taken some pictures of my project. I got my Crosman pellet/bb gun down to 1lb.

Unfortunately, it took me about 2 hours to get that thing back together and I ended up with a few extra parts hahaha.

We all wear eye protection so got that covered. Can't say the same for the door, door trim or various bits of wall within arms length of the target. I should have used a bigger piece of plywood ...
Hang a sheet or towel loosely in front of the plywood, behind the target. It will act like a tight end with a soft touch catching the football.
The BB impact will be absorbed rather than bounced out or ricocheted.

          Nice!

I just had a big piece of scrap plywood and taped 6-7 layers of cardboard to it and put the targets on top of that. Caught the BBs alright (I was mostly wanting to stop bounce backs)... just wasn't wide or tall enough to cover the cone of destruction from the kids.

The door is a POS and is getting replaced anyway so I don't care about that. I'd rather not have to spackle and paint the walls and door trim ...

Just have to convince the wife that all is actually a good idea.

No 2-stage with skeletonized trigger? Weak.

Totally gonna have to do this now...

On a BB gun? That's goofy. On a pellet gun ... now we are talking! Maybe a Nerf gun, too.

Rifle and Gun club had a gift exchange at the Christmas dinner this year. I gave out a Red Rider. The other members were very jealous of the dude who got it.

Kind of a ratchet and pawl sort of mechanism - the last tooth closest to the trigger needs to be cleaned up and polished for better trigger action. I reshaped it and made the break really sharp.

I did not take out the piston to polish it. Actually, I don't know how.
Are these pics post trigger job? I have 2 ryders on the way and want to do this before I give'em to the boys.

Post ... on this one I broke of a little retaining stop (by accident). Mostly just need to adjust the angle on that last tooth and make it nice and smooth.

On this one I might have made the tooth a little bit too short but it does make for a fast clean break! I noticed while the buttstock is removed closing the lever a bit past "normal" causes the trigger to break and the gun fires. With the buttstock in place this bit of over travel of the lever is prevented and there is no "slam fire" - I tried slamming really hard a bunch of times.
