Temecula PD rolls with an AR or shotgun with a folding stock on their Motors. Glad to see properly equipped officers.Comment

I was at a local gun shop several months ago. Outside the shop were 2 PD motorcycles from a town near by. I think there were having lunch somewhere near the shop... But anyway, both bikes had Colt M4's on the right rear side (edit: much like what is shown in the link in the post above mine).
I've also seen local PD motorcycles carrying an 870 w/ PD style folding stocks across the top rear of their bikes, just above the license plate.
I've had a pretty good chance to see what local PD carries on their person and in their cars or on their bikes. All I can say is they are well armed and it's a shame. But then again, local PD loves to overreact... I've seen SWAT, and even seen the cops pull M4's from their trunks, on more than one occasion at the apt complex where I live.ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕComment

I think I saw one in Long Beach, or nearby. I say they should carry FALsIt doesn't matter how scary, ugly, uncomfortable, or inconvenient self defense can be. Like it or not, you will never, ever be relieved of your duty and responsibility to defend your life, your family, your country and your freedom.
How much ammo do I need? Enough to last me the rest of my life, and then lot more for later.

Does anyone think Joe Blow would be facing criminal charges in Ca if you left a AR in such a configuration like this and it resulted in the injury of 3 children. So hows this Officer doing with his legal battles.Yes. City of Chino. 3 kids injured when the bullet hit a metal plate and splattered. The shrapnel hit all 3 kids. I believe 1 of them sustained eye damage.
Loaded, round in chamber, safety off, out in the open at an elementary school. Chino PD says safety policies not followed, but declined to say which ones.
Chino PD was very proud that the errant bullet hit a metal plate on the mount and 'disintegrated'. Only the shrapnel hit 3 kids, not a complete round.
Yep, definitely a reason too be proud...

Most of the bike cops in my area carry pistol grip shotguns on their bikes but I did see one with both and AR and a shotgun.A note to the NSA or anyone gathering information on me, this disclaimer is for you..."Everything I type on this website Is purely fictional and for entertainment purposes only. None of it is true."
Also, sometimes I type in CAPS to emphasize a POINT. Please dont interpret that as YELLING. Sorry if I HURT any fuzzy little bunny's FEELINGS out there.Comment

Ditto. Haven't personally seen or 1st hand heard of a single ND my entire career.

People get hurt all the time with NDs with no charges. Hell I've been peppered with jacket splash myself. What's your point again?Urban legends are a poor basis for making public policy.Comment

I always liked the Fish and Game wardens, rocking out with an M14. Now THATS a patrol rifle! Got the chance to take a look at one, it still had a happy switch on it, (though was blocked to semi auto only..)Urban legends are a poor basis for making public policy.Comment

Palos Verdes has M4's or M-forgeries whatever, on their bikes. They aren't Colt hand me downs, the ones Ive seen. They are custom, probably bought by the officers themselves for use on duty. Nice ones too.
Not as nice as mine though

I see them frequently in SoCal as well. One thing I've noticed is the different mounting styles: 1) "across" the bike, with the muzzle to the "fast lane" and the butt to the "slow lane". 2) flat on the right bag, muzzle to the front of the bike.
Never thought much of it until the "Chino School Incident", but now I wince a little when they pass me with the #1 mount and I see the muzzle in passenger window..
