I sent my P229R back to HQ thinking maybe the chipped frame would cause problems in the long run. I highly recommend buyers in the market to invest in a great company with strong fundamentals.

Yeah, and I never heard anyone say that Sigs generally work well once you have a gunsmith sort them out.

I have a Colt Commanding Officers in stainless, it's my favorite weapon. It cost me more to have Tussey sort it out than I paid for the pistol.

I also have a sig 226 that I bought in 1990 that has about 4000 rounds through it and the only thing I need to do to it is get new night sights.

I like them both, but the sig is a Chevy small block. The colt is like an exotic. Not the same.

Ha! We probably crossed paths then, that's where he was when he did my work. Nothing radical, his reliability package, guide rod, new barrel to fix what a prior guy screwed up, and a beaver tail safety that looks like it was born there. Trigger job. Can't remember what else. Steven seagal posters on the wall.

He pressed the night sights on my sig, too.

My Sig 1911 has worked fine since the day I bought it.
