Unless you have a back up, can wait more than 3 months, and most importantly, if the defect does NOT affect your ability to fire the gun proficiently.

I sent in my P229R back to Sig in July 2013 because of a frame defect. The CSR said "60 days on average." After that another CSR said "3 months or more for replacements."

Now, I live in a bad part town so... I Only have one gun (the one I sent), and Without a backup, I guess i'm S.O.L!
