What????? -
Go to the DMV and get it fixed, then go to gun store. So ive bought probably half a dozen guns or so in the last couple of years with my ID + car registration without any problem. I recently did a PPT with the same forms of ID and today I receive a call from the gun store saying that I wont be able to pick-up my gun unless I bring them another form of ID.
Since my car registration was co-signed by a female family member, there is a extra 'a' at the end of my last name which doesnt show up anywhere else. They say that it makes the car registration an invalid form of ID for me. All the utilities in the house are under someone elses name and I really dont have any other valid forms of ID i can use. CAn they legally hold my gun or am I **** out of luck?1A - 2A= -1A :(Comment

This. Not sure if they will make you get a new registration, but a DMV driving record printout is only 5 bucks.
When I bought my first handgun I didn't have my current address on my ID so I went and changed it with DMV and got my printout at the same time. Worked just fine."Far and away the best prize life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." - Theodore Roosevelt

I guess cause I'm old or not paying attention (maybe both) I don't ever recall being asked for two ID's. I plop down my DL and I'm GTG.
What does an extra "A" have to do with your registration being co-signed?It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Some countries' last names are slightly different for male and female family members, so perhaps the DMV or car dealer was confused and used her last name, not his. I'm thinking of Russian names in particular ("-ova" for females vs. "-ov" for males).
Just a guess.BillComment
