Where Do You Store Your Ammo?

I put shelfs in a 18 gun stack on cabinet and keep the ammo in that. In a closet.
And the keys in the safe?

Wish I could lock it up but too much. Store in GI ammo cans or crates on pallets. All guns in safes but full.
Did alarm entire house and garage. Used motion sensors in garage area.

Closet,top of cabinets,under the TV,under computer desk.Any empty spot I can find.

Do live alone,so anywhere is OK.

I recently purchased a Stack-On double door cabinet to store all my ammo in. The key will be locked inside one of the real gun safes inside the house.

Old metal cabinet about 6'x3'x2' bolted to the floor, neighbor gave to me about six months ago. Perfect timing because like you ammo and accessories take up so much room in your safe.

Right now in the safe. Before I had a safe I just had my ammo placed into 1qt ziploc freezer bags with a cut out from the box so I know what brand ammo it is and placed inside ammo boxes. Stored in a closet. My 9mm and 45 acp ammo boxes got up to about 50 pounds a piece with room for more ammo.

Most of it is in my safe. But that's slowly starting to spill out into my closet and attic. I keep buying more guns and parts and mags for those guns which is slowly but surely pushing out the ammo.


And I buy in the thousands and reload so my ammo stash is of decent side and was about 45% of my safe. Now only about 10% of my safe space.

I have more ammo that would fit in my safe so I keep at my pparents home...at least the bulk of it. I keep maybe 2 rounds of each caliber on hand.

Dang that is a good idea! I used a couple old car hoods with some chevy heads on top to keep the wind from flipping them over.
