Scenario 1: beanbag her - unlikely to drop her or incapacitate her to a point that she can't use the gun. Likely to enrage her more to where she would use it.

Scenario 2: OC spray - expose an officer without cover to get within range to be effective, assume it will work and she won't just start blasting blindly out of anger

Scenario 3: X26 / taser - again, expose an officer to get within range, assume it will make good contact through her loose and possibly multi-layered clothing, and assume she won't tighten her muscles and squeeze off rounds

Flashbang/tear gas? Im not even going to respond to that.

Im sure the Police would be happy to let you stand up there in front of them and attempt any of these or your own ideas of 'less lethal' given the situation

Can't accurately judge that from the viewpoint of the camera shooting that video. A long lens, shot from a distance, will foreshorten the view, making objects appear closer than they are.

Kind of weird, I know they talked to her for an hour before she was shot, but as she approached the officers with the gun in hand, I never heard any commands to stop, drop the weapon, nothing.
All those rounds and she is still alive..........

Police is supposed to be a job that assumes high level of risk for the safety of each and every citizen, even disturbed ones.

Trying to "talk her down" was not at all an honest or reasonable attempt to resolve the situation. Using an obviously ineffective means is a common and highly transparent method of getting to use excessive force. People higer the ladder aren't fooled by this tactic.

This video should scare the living heck out of anyone who wants freedom. Truly scary is that the cops can execute citizens, and the GUN OWNERS are their greatest defenders.

I have seen more courage, patience and understanding from Syrian rebels than what these cops displayed. Perhaps it's a tie.
