I'd have to take a guess and say the officer(opening fire) just arrived to a chaotic scene with an officer having been attacked by multiple people probably wouldn't know anything about the contents of the vehicle other than two of the people inside may have just tried to kill a cop and are now speeding away. Mom should be in prison for endangering all those children, the officers, and every other person she endangered during the chase.

There is NO freaking excuse for discharging that weapon at a vehicle full of INNOCENT children in THAT situation, regardless of the mother's actions.

What is wrong with these people who have no respect for the rule of law. What must she be teaching all those children? It used to be all that someone would do so offer a bunch of jack *** excuses to try and get out of it but in the end, sign the ticket and move on.

I bet mom will deny the whole thing with a straight face until presented with the video. Then she will either claim its a set up or the whole thing is racist....

Holy crap is that person a licensed driver? She should have followed law enforcements commands. I dunno why the cop shot but i feel that the driver put her family in that situation by not complying. At that point with the assault on a peace officer (driver and passenger) that is a feeing felon...

1) Mom is an idiot and needs to have her fitness for being a mother re-evaluated.

2) Son is an idiot.

3) Depending on what information the officer who fired the shots had, is an idiot.

4) Perfect example of why all LEO's need to have far better, mandatory arrest/control training (this of course requires a culture for much of the brass if not across the country across our state).

Refusing to follow an officers orders and having people assault a cop is not a good way to insure a happy ending.
