When I shoot Aguila Calibres or super calibres through my super 14 .22lr contender barrel, the hammer falling and the bullet hitting it's target are all I hear. No, I don't have a can on it. It's a stock barrel.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

I've shot my suppressor in the house before but worried about overpenetration so I only did it a few times.
I am debating what to do with mine when I finally make the move to CA from GA. I would leave it with family or put it in a safety deposit box but what's the point. If anyone is interested in a used Gemtech Outback let me know and I will give you a great price- legal purchase only ofcourse. Here is what my P22 with Outback used to look like. It now has a green frame. I'll be in GA for the next month and I have a great Class III dealer who can do the transfer.

Chief- ya pistols WAY louder than rifle for 22. Almost hard to tell the difference between a 22 and a 9mm with high vel. Unless you use subs (quieter) or colibri (really quite- like a pellet gun from a short barrel pistol) with only priming compound and no powder (dont use those in a rifle- it may not get out of the barrel -seriously)

over 4 yrs on an aircraft carrier- we went on a "friends and family day" cruise- which is a very long 1 day cruise for people to see the ship.
We got about 30 miles off the coast, for the best airshow you could EVER see. Low level mach 1 flyby... live ordinance galore.... cannons, rockets, live 500 pounders dropped in sequence from 3 Intruders makes on heck of a LONG rolling explosion...
Wasnt any official bomb range-
Cruise ships have gambling in the casinos in intl waters.
Some cruise ships have skeet in intl waters.
Murder is still murder though-
But the cruise line employees get away with rape quite regularly- Thats a big secret the cruise lines dont want you to know about. Usually it's the staff raping other staff, but sometimes...

The reason for that is while sailing under a US flag you are under the jurisdiction of federal law, but not state law. There is a federal law against murder, but I assume not rape.E-Plur

I believe that murder is a state crime and not a federal crime! Of course, there are exceptions when it comes to murder of a federal employee, etc. If all murder was a federal crime, murderers would not be prossecuted by local DAs, tried in county courts or sentenced to state prisons.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

Ships flying American flags are under "maritime jurisdiction of the United States"(a) Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought. Every murder perpetrated by poison, lying in wait, or any other kind of willful, deliberate, malicious, and premeditated killing; or committed in the perpetration of, or attempt to perpetrate, any arson, escape, murder, kidnapping, treason, espionage, sabotage, aggravated sexual abuse or sexual abuse, child abuse, burglary, or robbery; or perpetrated as part of a pattern or practice of assault or torture against a child or children; or perpetrated from a premeditated design unlawfully and maliciously to effect the death of any human being other than him who is killed, is murder in the first degree. Any other murder is murder in the second degree.
(b) Within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States,
Whoever is guilty of murder in the first degree shall be punished by death or by imprisonment for life;
Whoever is guilty of murder in the second degree, shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life.Originally posted by Alan GuraThe Second Amendment now applies to state and local governments. I guess you must not have realized that most cargo ships/tankers and cruise ships fly flags/registered in Panama.
Name any cruise line out there- it's probably panama register. Even if it isnt Panama, it is not US.
Even "Norwegian" cruise lines run panama flags. I know it's the most common, but I dont know why- Dont know the advantage of panama register.
The rape issue is real- I read about that a few yrs ago. It's actually common on cruise ships and nothing is done about it. No one even knew about it until a passenger was raped, and then people found out it happened all the time, but was usually the male members of the crew raping female crew members.
Regardless of the ships register... Cruise lines employ people from all over the world. Carnival cruise lines, the name tags are first name, and country they're from... so if a woman is raped, and is from lets say Germany- It happens off the coast of kali in intl waters. The person who raped her was- say from Italy. Reporting this crime to the captain- gives the captain authority in intl waters- if he doesnt do anything about the crime- who does it get reported to? Who enforces what law of what country? The victom from Germany- is it German law? Does the assailent need to be extradited from intl waters to germany and prosecuted under Germanic law? or since he's italian, does he get tried and punished under italian law? Or since it was intl waters with the closest country being the US, is tried here in the US?
See why nothing happens about it?
Far as hopping into a boat and getting to intl waters.... an American killing an American would still be subject to US law. I'm sure thats how it plays out- primarily because the US oversteps its bounds. I doubt it would be considered "legal" from an intl perspective.Last edited by postal; 07-01-2008, 7:42 PM.Comment
