Bic Lighter just under it should do the trick.

See if you can push it all the way in and unscrew the mag catch, like a regular install.

    Good luck.

You cant uninstall it by just unscrewing the mag catch. You still need to secure the nut with a tool.

        +whatever on the bic lighter.

They use a dab of the weaker loctite and the heat from the lighter is enough to remove. You want to get it right along the sides of the button so you are heating the threads and hence heating the area where the loctite is.

I got it off, thanks for all the suggestions, in the end i ground down the BB shroud and rounded the hole, then hand filed a flathead into a two pronged shape. got it off. Funny thing now, is that with the new spring i have, i can't get enough tension to hold a mag, it just flops back and forth. I assume i need a new spring? I tightened the release as much as i could, even used a punch to get all the revolutions i could. any ideas, again i assume it's a weak spring.

Correct. The bullet button uses its own spring. A standard mag catch spring is at least twice as long.

Cheapest you will find it online once you add shipping.

i have an additional stock spring, the standard AR spring, but I'm thinking maybe i picked up the wrong one.

Added: Thanks Tony, I figured it out. somehow my spring wasn't full extended. it look exactly like the one in the picture you provided, except, the last 2-3 coils on each side were very compacted. I simply elongated the spring by pulling it, it about doubled in size, and now it works swell!
I'll pick up a spare in case i weakened the spring somehow, but I'm just glad to drop mags!!!

Loctite requires heat to remove. Use a pen torch.

EDIT: I see you got it off.

Heat will help tremendously with Loctite. A Cheap soldering iron or you can just move on to a Bic lighter/bigger hammer. Seriously. 5-10 seconds with the Bic on the bullet button and you won't hurt the rest of the gun.

Also, a #10 or #12 spanner bit filed down to the right size will work wonders. I had to spend 10 minutes searching the rack of bits in home depot before I finally found a pack with a #10 in it. They don't stock a lot of spanner bits...at least mine didn't.

You can beat this! Stay strong! The little bastards at Daniel Defense used red Loctite on mine...gobs and gobs of it. Clearly they did not understand who they were dealing with!

                  Oh...you got if off. Nevermind.

Thanks All, who knew dropping mags could be as much fun as trigger pulling.

HaHaHa... Reminds me when I got my first AR .
The BB would not come out, I broke two BB removal tools trying to get it out.
I ended up selecting a small drill (Smaller than the Mag catch shaft) and drilling it out...
Reading the posts above, I like the tool TonyXcom made, that should remove any BB ! Red loctite or not!
