Are you sure the door is locked all the way? The dial will not turn if it isn't.

Turn the dial to the left. I can't imagine that the key wasn't installed.. Make sure door bolts are completely closed.

Once a liberty safe is packaged for shipping, the dial has a few adhesive strips placed on it, to secure it. If you spun it, you might have pulled the strip into the dial. Also, try turning the dial to the left, and if that doesnt work, use the keys.Originally posted by KestryllThis guy is a complete and total idiot.

Did it fall on the dial? Be very careful with the dial they are not held in place by much...Comment

Have you tried pushing hard on the door while trying to turn the knob. The shelves may have shifted and are putting pressure against the door.
From the liberty trouble shooting site:
Verify that the key-lock is unlocked (jagged edge of key will be facing up) before attempting to turn dial. Check lock-bolt pressure. Some free play should exist in the handle, left to right. Bolt pressure may be due to out of place interior shelves or improper personal storage. Make sure the door is completely closed and the locking bolts are in the fully extended position. Normally dial tightness varies from safe to safe. Tightness of dial may increase or decrease as dial is being turned.Sorry, not sorry.

Didn't notice it in the ad, but does this safe by chance a glass pane security feature? A glass pane is held in place by spring loaded clips. If the glass is disturbed (broken), then the clips release and the dial/bolts freeze and the safe is basically unopenable excert by an expert. If so, might it have been jostled during the delivery/installation.Originally posted by connorr931Yes I have tried that. The safe did not come with any keys and there are no key holes. This is the model http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...53899372,d.b2ISorry, not sorry.

Again, from the support portion of their site:
Not sure if your model has this, but it kinda sounds like the problem you are having.
Liberty adds a second external relocker to the backplate of the lock and the mechanism. If the lock's back plate is punched off, the external relocker fires like a mouse trap, permanently locking up the safe's mechanism. This keeps the locking bolts from retracting. Even if the lock is completely destroyed the safe is locked tight.Sorry, not sorry.

You're not going to find a glass packed door in a safe this cheap.Didn't notice it in the ad, but does this safe by chance a glass pane security feature? There is a key way that holds the spindle inline with the gears in the lock. The center of the dial is a long piece of allthread that threads into the lock itself.. without the key it can tighten against itself and you wouldn't be able to turn it anymore.. to the right.. I find that highly unlikely .. but turn it to the left to make sure.
It should still be under warranty.. give them a call tomorrow.
