    Guns on a budget

    Hey...

Im about a year into my adventure with firearms and shooting, and I love it. I own a few guns now, and hope to buy many more in the future.. Only problem I foresee is money. Shooting is great, but its semi-expensive. Cost of guns, ammo, plus range time is really painful to my wallet. Im not broke, but I have to budget my money wisely, and right now guns are pretty much the only hobby I have that costs money. Ive been lurking around her for a while now, and man, some of these collections I see are just beautiful.

Anyone else feel my pain? Unless youre rich, or retired that is. It seems like even the price of rimfire is sky high now. Sorry if this seems like a rant, but im up late and browsing thru budsgunshop and cheaperthandirt, and just wish I could afford to make impulse purchases.. If only you could finance a glock..

That's how it is, lately everytime I go shooting $200 minumim. One thing I do want to get into is reloading Will make it much cheaper. Your only in year 1, No rush. Hopefully new laws won't make it crazy to own rifle platforms.

I feel your pain bro....I wished that there wasnt all this gun craze going on either, prices and avaliablity would be a good thing instead of being scarce...

^ Be nice... he already said he wasn't broke... and a $150 Mosin with a $75 can of ammo can make for dozens of fun range trips...

Yep, same here. The gun hobby is getting prohibitively expensive for me, so I'm constantly re-evaluating my needs. Getting out of the tactical phase has saved me a lot of money, vs trying to keep up with the tactical Jones', so to speak.
Needs vs wants is a toughy.

I don't have evereything I want, but money is tight as well as I'm planning a move. I feel your pain.
Only advice is to dig up cash for a few lowers if you ever wanted an AK or AR, etc., just in case Brown doesn't veto (and he probably won't).

I have three kids and a mortgage to support, I feel your pain. Reloading helps a lot, if you can buy in bulk. I save my pennies and buy enough components to load a couple thousand rounds at a time. Last time I bought for .40 S&W I bought 2,000 rounds worth, including brass, and it worked out to about $0.22 a round.
I've never seen an American flag burned at a gun show.

Money (more specifically the lack thereof) is the only thing keeping me from having one of everything!
                          Sorry, not sorry.

                              Just look at my signature...lol

I would recommend stashing money for ammo when you can find it. Ive been doing the whole drive around to walmarts and other stores and have been able to score pretty good over the few months which allows me to enjoy the firearms that I have.
