Without protection it can be copied and distributed everywhere.

They need to develop an application that can capture what your screen is showing and then create a tidy avi file... We could call it cam studio.. Brilliant!!

Really tho DRM just makes people want to mess with your content.

And we funded it under the guise of getting the message out. Getting the message out and making a profit seem to be conflicting ideologies.... And our ideology should win out, we paid for it no?

Is there anything that can make me feel better about these obstacles blocking me from watching Assaulted?
      Didn't bother me one bit.

I'm thinking they sold the movie to a company that wants to make a buck off it.

Like I said nothing wrong with that but I understand people's consternation over the DRM.

And yes someone will mess with it, people already are, I see torrents for it all over the place.

Tried for hours to get it to work on several computers. No Go. Very disappointed about this whole DRM thing. I paid for my digital content i dont want to have to jump through hoops to get it. Off to find it through other means I go.

Bummer. I donated to the project but will not install a malware based app so I guess I won't be watching it on my PC.

I donated... but didn't care about the rewards or perks. I just wanted to see the film made.

I ended up buying it on iTunes to watch it, and stream to Apple TV units to share with friends and family.

Was worth a watch, I know some people that need to watch this.

Does any know if the Amazon version is in HD? At least I can use Shop42a.com and help CGN and Deadpatriots.

Tell them you're on a Mac, or tell them you're on a Linux system... Just find out whatever OS the DRM software supports, and then tell them you're using something else.

I bought my copy off of iTunes. It was the first movie ever purchased through iTunes before and it worked seamlessly.

I am not sure what seamlessly means so I am going to ask a clarification question.

Are you able to play the itunes version without using that flux player?
