      Thanks guys!!
I just realized I wonder what would have happened if I pressed the "fake NV" button! I believe it would turn into a green reticle! Lol I wish I did!

There's a page on EOTech's website about fakes:

And they have a guide, too:

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
        Come on...what harm??

All of this Magpul/eotech/trijicon/aimpoint airsoft crap is really annoying.

More annoying is the ***** wipes selling these to unsuspecting buyers. Almost paid $600 for a really realistic "weathered" ACOG. Never again....

Yup. When I sold my Eotech on CL. It had no box nothing, just the eotech. This guy who still has his first AR in jail. He had me explaining how it works, on/off brightness etc. He even asked me if it has zoom. The guy paid $400 and has no idea what he is getting.

After the sell, it had me thinking how easy it can be for these people selling fakes. For every 1 person that catches a fake he has probably sold 5 to someone that has no idea and will probably never know.

Who's buying up all these EOTechs? Been trying to sell mine for a while at a pretty good price, too.

everytime I post a gun for sale on Calguns, I get a guy offering me a "new in the box EOtech" as a trade. I find these offers highly suspicious and always turn them down.

I put on my eotech for sale that I'm selling it to fund an Aimpoint. Some guy sends me an offer wanting my eotech plus cash for his shotgun

Its funny! I think he is also trying to sell a knock of luepold mk4 for $600? and some trijicon sights. Someone who replied on my craigslist post said it was the same guy, John adams, who sold him a knock off sight also. In a black truck.

I know with electronics; sometimes the fakes are made in the same plant after hours. But China being China though; they just have to cut corners so even in these instances the fakes can usually be spotted by cheaper components, on the PC boards, being used.... you know; $5 more for a perfect 'fake' but they just can't bring themselves to do it.

I once bought a fake golf club on CL. Guy said it was real but I verified it was fake. Anyway, he stopped answering my calls and I noticed he had many other items on CL. Well, i decided to get him back so I created a few Hotmail/gmail accounts and used bluffmycall to send his *** on some wild goose chases. The entertainment value was well worth buying the fake club.

After that, I noticed his postings were a lot less than before.
