FRAUD EOTech in Sac/Stockton, Lodi, Modesto area

    Hi everyone,
I wasn't sure where to post this.
Just want to let you guys know.

    This seller on craigslist:

Is attempting to sell a fake/china EOTech as a real one!!!
I checked out the "EXPS3" model... FAKE in so many ways! (He even has it in a real eotech box/cover.) The pictures online are not of the actual sight being sold.

PLEASE do not be fooled at this deal- If its to good to be true... It probably is.

I'm sure you guys can tell, but this is also a fake eotech.

I pointed out the several discrepancies and he brushed them off to think they were a "older" model or etc.. (Please don't waste your time!)

I don't know where else I can spread the word! But this seller is really trying to pull a fast one on someone! I really hope he doesn't get to!
    Thanks for reading!

So you're saying that the pictures that he has in his ads are not the actual ones he's selling? Did you check out one of the ones that he's actually selling? What did they look like?

This is why I won't buy optics second hand unless its from someone I personally know bought it brand new. Too many fake/replica/knock offs out there.
As the great warrior poet Ice Cube once said "If the day does not require an AK, it is good."

Hey Guys! Yeah the pictures online are legit!!
                Fooled me also!
However when I checked it out. FAKE! (Pretty easy to tell after looking at it)

I'll try to list the discrepancies from the one he was selling.

                1. Bottom the for exps has a quick disconnect mount- with Pat Pending, Serial number/barcode, CE mark, made in USA, L3 tags Ann Arbor MI. (All missing) and no milling.
                2. Back plate where buttons would be, has a L3 EOTech logo- Also missing.
                3. Battery cover does have the "+" on it and is enlarged battery container. I didn't check inside, but likely different.
                4. You can actually see the pattern of the reticle when you look down on the sight.
                5. The printed logo's on the fake unit are off. (If you seen it, you would become suspicious.)

From the pictures online I was able to tell some distinct features. that made me believe it is legit. However clearly it is not!

What really bugs me is this guy is selling it in real eotech packaging-case foam. (I didn't check the label of the cardboard though.) I believe he is also selling some other fake sights as well.

Does anyone know where to warn others? or i'm not quiet sure how legal it is. I believe he does now know they are Fake/replicas if he didn't know already.

Yeah! it was trademarked but not a good enough when comparing to a real eotech. I flipped it upside down and was shocked that this guy was claiming it was authentic...

                      Yeahh!! Definitely!
I had a problem on ebay with it! but clearly the guy knew he was wrong...
Played dumb-but he knew. It was such a waste of time/money!

I tried to get a good deal on the exps3-drove a ways to get it. TO be very disappointed.

                      Thanks for the comment!

I almost paid $400 for a fake from a guy I knew and met at a LGS. At that time I had just got my first AR and didnt even know what a eotech was let alone a fake one. What got me to step back from the deal and do some research was when he told me the green reticle is for night vision, rigjt away that didnt sound right. after a quick google search it was confirmd to be a fake.

Went back the next day to the LGS asked to see then eotech then I tossed it in the trash. He knew he was busted didnt even say a single word. The owner of the shop who I also knew well, started to question me. Told him his emoloyee is selling counterfeit optics out his shop. Lets just say I wasnt nearly as mad as the shop owner was.

Put a post on Craigslist calling the seller out for selling a fake.
You may not like guns, and choose not to own one. That is your right. You might not believe in God. That is your choice. However, if someone breaks into your home, the first two things you're going to do are, 1) Call someone with a gun, 2) Pray they get there in time.

The Chinese airsoft knock-offs are so realistic, it would be hard to tell the few subtle differences.

I got a Trijicon ACOG you can buy for $50....
