Semi auto M60D.....(other sem belt fed options???)

First I'd better admit that I have a problem with 60's in general - carry one for a tour when I did, you'd dislike them too.
Having said that, the semi-auto 60's that I have experience with had their problems (a Springfield with a trigger pull that was so heavy it could not be weighed...) a JRW with a sloppy trunnion.
I am familar with the DO NFA 60, and that one is a winner, much better than the issue guns from the past. Don't know about the semi version, but if their NFA unit quality is any guide, they should be gtg.
My .02-I'd stick w/ a 1919A4 semi in CA - spares will be easier to find and less expensive, better construction, rebuildable, caliber conversions available.
The 60 may look cool, but it isn't half the weapon the Browning is.Comment

If you really want a belt-fed, you could also go with an XMG upper on an OLL with a MMG.

Went with an HK21 (MM21UE specifically).
Michael Otte knows Cali law, and was very helpful in the cali legal 21 matter.
The 21 really is the only beltfed that maintains the original unmodified reciprocating parts (legally), and its an HK.
Now I need to whip up some spades for it.....Last edited by ptoguy2002; 06-18-2008, 12:45 PM.WTB: SWISS & German police trade in pistols

so basically the xmg 34 would be semi auto since it uses trigger group from the oll? and you can only have 10 rd linked cause cali law?Originally posted by MustangO3My wife conned me into watching this flick, Charlie St Cloud. Sure, the guy's dead brother comes back to life, but instead of wanting to eat brains, he wants to play baseball. I apreciate the effort to "shake up" the genre, but let's try to keep to, running vs shambling zombies and everyone will be happy. This was just too much liberty with the George Romero standards. Don't be fooled as I was, this is the worst zombie movie ever!Comment

No.
With a belt fed you automatically have a detachable mag, so you can't have a pistol grip or any other evil features.
So you have to have something like a 1919 grip, spade grip, or the monsterman would probably work on that thing, but I don't know if I'd want to shoot an 8mm belt fed with a monsterman.WTB: SWISS & German police trade in pistols

THe XMG is nice if you have a registered AW lower- you can take it out and shoot it as-is. Or if like my lucky uncle (in NC!), you have a registered MG lower, you now have a belt fed MG for cheap (compared to the cost of a registered belt fed)Comment
