Guns and ammo are a few things that have not depreciated or spoiled from storage. My antiques stockpile has gone up and down in value. I shoulda bought even more guns and ammo in the late 70's/early 80's.

Already had a very good supply of reloading components before Newtown. Was in the hospital when it happened and as soon as i got out, i ordered 50K primers and 48# powder.

Enough to last me several years of matches since i wasn't practicing much anyway due to work.

I was always stocked up. When I lived out east it wasn't a problem to run to a local gun shops with plenty of supply. I had tons of pmags and gave them away. Tons of ammo and gave them away. When I moved back to California I felt like I didnt need all of my gear because I knew I was coming back to a commi state. I had less then a month to move back and didnt want to deal with a the BS laws in Cali. Now that I've learned the laws here I wish I never sold my supply... sucks

Sorry my list isn't outrageous because I dont care too much for the media or news, by the time I heard about panic every one had already cleaned out gun stores.

That's not stocking up or even close to hoarding. You're not even sitting sitting in the same room as a true hoarder. The real hoarders stood outside of Big 5 on ammo day waiting for it to open and cleaned them out before noon and then got ready for the another ammo day at another Big 5 the next day.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

                      hoarding

I hate to admit how much I have stored.

But its one hell of a lot stored so it wont go bad

Plus enough components to keep my Dillon busy for years.
