There is no such thing as having too many guns. There is only not having enough. Just repeat after me when you think you have too many...’I always need one more, I always need one more’. Plus, buying multiples, gives you the ability to use a different one right away, instead of waiting for a part.

Like I told my daughter when she asked how many guns I have. I said, “I don’t remember, but I will always need one more”.

But if you still have that weird feeling to get rid of a bunch, I’m sure there are people here that would allow you to store them in their safe, until that feeling goes away.

About 10 years ago, I sold a few guns when I moved to California (a couple because they were on the list, and one because I needed some money). I've lived with the regret ever since. Don't live with regret. Keep your guns.

I once had the mentality that I would just acquire one of each caliber, until I realized that I liked shooting with both scopes and iron sights. So instead of having scopes going on and off and messing everything up, just buy two of each caliber. Even beyond that, different setups have different applications within the same caliber. And nothing beats looking at a crowded safe.

The only one I've sold was a redundant handgun. I regret it.

How many times have you heard "Sure am sorry I sold that gun?"

How many times have you heard "Sure am glad I sold that gun?"

I have sold one but that was because I just never really liked it.

To the OP, your not crazy. It happens to me, if I see something I have not used in a long time I instantly want to get rid of it, tools, kid stuff, whatever, I hate clutter and the feeling of being weighed down by stuff. Just go shoot them and you will want to keep them after.

Same caliber, same form-factor, same magazines... not a quirk, but logical thought process.

Reload one caliber-type for the same form-factor rifle, buy in bulk, save money and reload to the same OAL, logical.

Reload one caliber-type for a handgun, (that might be used in an alternate rifle-upper,) buy in bulk to save money, and reload to the same OAL, again... logical.

WHEN (NOT IF) the Zombies come, LPKs, Mags, uppers, etc. work in AR lowers: 2 broken into 1 functional...
                  RAID, and backups too...

I have a Sig MK25 in jail and want to pick up a second one for redundancy. Still not sure if I should.

i enjoy them more when i only have a couple of something. after a few i start to just stash them away. for a while all i had and wanted were Mosins and SKS,
well i added a 1903 springfield and am getting a M1 carbine. this excites me more than large numbers of the same rifle sitting around. now if you are really RICH this all goes out the window.

About 1/3 of my firearms are redundant for another 1/3. The last third are either for special purposes, just cause I think they are cool, or are fairly unique.

Think very hard about what you're considering selling.

I've done the same thing in my past and have had seller's remorse, and I suspect you will too.. Maybe not immediately, but someday and sooner than you think.

I identify with this logic. I enjoy having LOTS of ammo in few caliber.
