    Don't know about kits

But the brits made some from cut down enfields during the war for something they used in their commando units. Google 'DeLisle Carbine'. There was a company that was making them a few years ago. Don't know if they are still offering them though.

A lot of people think the Hi-Point carbines are a good alternative the the far more expensive big names. Ive never shot one. but "everyone" says the hi-point carbines are leaps and bounds above their handguns as far as quality. i've been thinking about trying one out. you can get the 45acp for around $400 used and the 9mm around $300 used.

Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

Does someone make a closed-bolt, semi-auto version of the M3 "grease gun"?

The originals shot .45ACP in 32 round magazines.

While I would never even consider one of their pistols, I have the High Point carbine in .45 and like it. Plenty accurate and recoil is basically non-existent. I just wish it took 1911 mags. I got mine in trade for some ammo. The frenzy was good for something I guess.

Unless they raised the price recently Turner's has had them new for less then your "used" prices. I seem to remember $360ish.
