Exactly... and I did not violate any of the rules and was silenced for no other reason than the fact that I offended some of the party line republicans' sensibilities. There was absolutely nothing hateful or racist about my avatar. While it is certainly within the rights of the moderating staff to do as they see fit, it doesn't make their actions any less ridiculous or hypocritical. Perhaps suppressing free speech is the incorrect label to apply to this situation. I suppose their actions are just more in line with being power tripping authoritarians who don't like others to have opposing viewpoints.

Perhaps it is for the best that I simply come here for the 2A news and don't post as much as I have been recently. I certainly don't identify with many people here. If people like sticking their heads in the sand, who am I to challenge their self-delusion?

So why are you griping about the mods being hypocritical considering it's their right to moderate how they see fit, rather than follow some government mandate?

Best answer ja308. I don't see the moderators as being on an "authoritarian power trip", but more as protecting their creation. I run a Wiki and we don't let users post whatever they feel like it just because it is publicly on the internet. Merc1138's response is spot on.
