Here's a pic of the mags. Hopefully this works. The one on the left was the one that came with the gun.

The chip mccormick mag flew apart in my hand as I was playing with the follower. I wasn't even trying to pull it out, just kinda absentmindedly rocking the follower back and forth with my thumb while I was looking at the gun. Good thing the parts didn't go flying, but I wasn't really expecting it to come apart that easily. Scared the hell out of me though.

If the manager is a jerk just go ahead and call Turner's corporate....No need to waste your time. Please let us know how this turns out.....

        ducktapeguy,

The one on the left looks like a factory sig mag.

I contacted Sig this morning and got the answers to my question (in case any other Sig owners are wondering)

          1) There should be 2 magazines with each gun. Only the P250 comes with 1.

          2) The sig 1911 magazines are either Checkmate or Novak. The earlier one were novak and have their name stamped on them. Checkmate has no markings. So that is a factory mag.

I called turners and just explained the issue, they told me they do have a factory sig magazine at the store and I can come pick it up. So I just went in, he handed me the magazine, and that was it. No hassle or anything. If they would have just done this last night when I picked up the pistol (when they claimed they don't have any Sig magazines), then this whole issue could have been avoided.

I'm still a little suspicious that the sales guys last night was trying to convince me Sigs only come with 1 mag, when I'm pretty sure they knew that wasn't the truth. I don't really care about the cost of the mag, that's minor compared to the overall cost of the gun, but I didn't like the BS they were trying to give me. But since they did correct their error, they I'm willing to give them another chance. But I'll probably be a little more cautios in the future when inspecting my purchases.

So do you still have the CMC mag as well? I actually like those better than Wilson mags.

While wilson makes an excellent product, i have seen fewer issues with CMC 7 and 8 round power mags.

The 10rd CMC mags have a few issues though

Actually, I probably overreacted calling the mccormick mags crap, I was probably still ticked off at Turners last night. The housing is actually pretty decent, it's just that the follower wants to pop out on an empty mag because of the angle and spring force. It' doesn't come out completely (unless you fiddle with it), but enough where it will prevent it from being inserted into the gun.

If Turners were more honest at first and said there should've been two mags and they just lost the mag (or maybe they really didn't recieve it ), I would've accepted a replacement. I don't care if they made a mistake, but the fact that the guys tried to lie to me pissed me off enough to make me be a pain in the ***. Still got the other mag. I'm gonna return it but since I went there during lunchtime directly from work I didn't have it with me.

In hindsight, I probably shoudn't have accepted it, but I suffer from Newgunitis. After holding the gun and having to wait for over an hour while they got their crap together, I just wanted to leave with my gun.

Thanks for letting me vent my frustrations

Because the squeaky wheel gets the grease. They were hoping you would just go away and be happy. But when you were persistent, lo and behold they came up with your other mag, no questions asked. Bunch of jerkoffs. (and ive never even heard of them before)

If you know the guys name that was bs'ing you then at the very least call corporate and let them know what he said to you. At the same time give props to the guy that fixed the problem.

                        Re: Pasadena Turners

I've been sitting on this for a few weeks, and this seems to be the perfect thread to post it in.

I recently did a PPT at Pas Turners, I was the seller. Gun was an S&W PC 627. It came in a soft case with a set of Ahrends Combat grips and a set of the rubber Hogue Monogrips. Gun was delivered with Monogrips on it and the Ahrends grips tucked into the interior pocket of the S&W soft case. Buyer left the Ahrends grips in the case during the 10 day wait. When he went back to pick the gun up, the Ahrends grips were gone....

He questioned the clerk who started hemming and hawing. Aw, here, I'll just post the contents of his email to me:

I have no idea why they even touch the PPT stuff once the paperwork is done, except at pickup. He didn't even mention anything about it being missing (whatever the 'supposed' manager's reason for taking it out), and had I not checked for it I would of walked out without it.
Interesting , huh? He told me he didn't want to escalate it, but that I was welcome to. I decided not to, since I wasn't the injured party here.

                        Be careful with Turners Pasadena.

When you do a PPT, just do the gun and the case. The extra magazines, grips, sights, holsters, clips, slings, chargers, loaders, snap caps, etc, don't even go into the store. Hand all the accessories to the buyer in the parking lot. At least the buyer has something to fondle while waiting his 10 days.

No need to do a 10 day wait on accessories and extra parts.

That sounds really shady. There's no logical reason why they'd need to take the grips out. Who was the guy that was out the counter? Because obviously it seems as though he knew right away they were missing. There is contact info on the Turners website for Loss Prevention/theft/Security issues

I was thinking about contacting them, but in your case I think I probably would. Or at least if I was the buyer.

I would, but it was every sales guy in the store. I asked at least 4 different ones. First guy didn't really seem to sure of himself. 2nd guy I asked said 2, but when the first guy said there was only 1 in the box, he made up some excuse and changed his mind to 1. I asked a couple of the other guys as I was waiting, but as soon as I asked the first guy would quickly interrupt and say there was only one in the case, so of course you know what they were going to say. It's almost like they were hiding something.

Usually, there's only 1 sales guy I will deal with at that store. I'll go out of my way to go there when he's working. There are a few others that are ok and I don't mind dealing with them, and there are a couple who are just plain a-holes that I try and avoid

I always take ALL loose accessories when doing PPT, even all the magazines.

why take a chance? USe the safety lock too if the gun has one.
