Gun Cases - what are you using?

I'm talking about what you use to carry your guns from the house to the car to the range and back...the proverbial "locked containers"

I just picked up a couple of used Zero Halliburton cases but after thinking about it, they might just call a little too much attention to themselves (these are those brushed aluminum cases with a pair of ribbed lines that you see the bad guys using to carry the sniper rifle/evil microchip thing/whatever in movies). I see lots of guys with Pelican cases at the range - quality but you pay for it.

I'm thinking about using an old, locking hardside leather briefcase for my pistols. It seems like that would be a good under the radar way of carrying them that won't draw attention from the neighbors when I'm heading to the range. "Just going to work with my briefcase".

Shotgun/rifle cases designed for firearms do not need to be locked.
I have several different hard cases and a number of soft cases which lock for pistols.
All my neighbors know I have firearms. Heck most the town knows. Why hide it? I am doing nothing wrong. For safety I have 3 large safes. If someone does not like it tough. I had one bitty down the street call the sheriff because I had guns and she wanted something done about it. After the 2nd call they told her yes I have a bunch of nice guns and if she called again they would cite her. The LE that came out the second time I went to school with and we had a good talk about guns/hunting, old times and I showed him some of the collection as he was interested in getting a couple like I had.
Of course when a punk gang-banger was robbing all the houses on my block(except mine) she went a borrowed a pistol from someone and did not even know how to load/unload or work the safety on it. She was more a danger to herself and others with one pistol that I was with all my firearms.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I just use regular, cheap, soft sided rifle and pistol cases.

Cheap soft sides or a range bag works for me. I do have a hard lockable if I'm travel distances or airlines.

For shot guns and nicer hunting rifles I use single or double hard cases.

For most everything else I use Rubber Maid Action Packer 48gal Cargo Boxs.
          Size: 43.8"L x 20"W x 17"H.

I made saddles out of some rigid foam that hold 4 to 5 rifles with up to the length of a retro A1 build with or without scopes. It also has room under the rifles and at the ends for pistols, spotting scope, ammo, mag etc.

I use a sports duffel bag with a small padlock for my handguns and range gear. I can carry this across any parking lot and it gets zero attention.
My Pump SG is in a basic soft sided long gun case.
My Beretta O/U is in a really nice canvas and Leather SG case. It has a combo lock built in. A gun enthusiast would know what this is. A non-gun enthusiast would be confused.
            Luckily,
the path from my house to my car is not real exposed.

I store and transport my pistols in Allen lockable soft cases like these. The lock is a joke, but it is a lock.

I carry the cases in a Craftsman toolbag with a storage compartment in the bottom similar to this one. I tossed the plastic storage box and can carry two or three soft cased pistols in the compartment.

Shooting supplies and ammo go top of the bag. When I carry it to and from my car, it just looks like a tool bag.

I haven't been able to find a discrete way to carry my long-guns, although I was thinking about getting one of these.

I use a Pelican 1700. I originally bought it for airline travel.

It's a little overkill I know. (It handles airport luggage monkeys with ease though.)

UTG Coverts for the AR's and Mossy Oak for the 10/22 and AK. Value priced and does the job well. Oh, and a laptop case for the AR pistol taken down!

Handguns - In the Tupperware it came with, locked and inside a normal backpack.

Long guns - Cheap Plano rifle cases, locked, loaded in my backyard, out of sight from public view.

I have a voodoo tactical drag bag thats screams hey I got a gun in here. So I picked up a bat bag. I can only fit one rifle in the bat pocket but still a lot of room in the main compartment. I like it a lot and it has wheels so u dont have to carry it all the time.

Handguns in a plastic case in my back pack. Long gun is placed in a cheap padded case from garage sale.

Soft Cases. Got tired of lugging around and adding extra weight each time i hauled my guns. For the pistols, it's a plano 4 gun case, but going to change that up soon.
