I can't believe SWAT missed that opportunity.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

My kid wore his holster and cap gun out shopping one day. Of course, I am on the other side of enemy lines and open carry is ok here.

Forget exactly how old I was but I had a fairly reallistic looking cork shooter pistol & used to run around airports with the thing hanging out of my pocket...

I was at the swap meet today and saw a dad helping his son unwrap his new cowboy revolver with lever action rifle. I wanted to ask the kid if he wanted to shoot the real thing.

My son wore his toy six guns all last summer when we drove up to Yellowstone.

I sure hope he doesn't decide to take it to school. Automatic suspension, or worse. Boy have times changed.

I'm 65yrs old and when I was growing up in the 50's we played cowboys and Indians, or good guys and bad guys.
In the mid-late 50's Mattel came out with the "Fanner 50". Look it up on Google. The hammer had a pancake design on top so you could draw your palm down over the hammer and fire a bunch of shots off like in the western tv shows of that era. We just went down to the local variety store and bought the caps. Without our parents!

When I was in 5th grade we had a cowboys and indians themed field trip to a KOA. The teachers actually encouraged us to bring our toy guns and knives to make it more realistic. Man, things are sure different now...
