Firearms at Your Business for Security

Without providing too many details, do you have firearms at your place of business for security? Why or why not?

    Thanks.

I would say, especially for home based businesses, that a firearm on premises is essential to safety and security.

There are a lot of factors, but if you have a business that is easily accessible to the public and you have customers, it's much different than being in a secure office building like downtown.

We have them because we can, security second.

Of course I do. Just like I have fire sprinklers, fire alarm, burglary alarm, insurance, etc... A pistol on my person and a shotgun behind the desk simply makes sense because you can't be too prepared. I'm an engineer and customers never come to my office... I'm more concerned about a random scumbag walking in and needing to be encouraged to leave muey pronto.

I talked to my boss about it.
My AR is 7.62x39, so that if/when we get invaded, I can shoot their ammo back at them!

If I had they would be enough to always be within an arms reach.

Yup and yup. I honestly feel that most business would frown upon it (if you are not the owner/operator). Too much FUD out there.

I mostly work at home, so yes.
Some years ago, I visited R. Lee Ermey at his home in Palmdale. After a time we got on the subject of guns and he told me he was never out of reaching distance from a .45.
                            I'm pretty close to that.

One strapped in the open I carry it to and from work the same way... With an AR pistol in the car because I don't have a holster for the AR yet... lol
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you may never need one again.
