so can I get some real world feedback on this. I do not have the option of a floor standing and this will hide under my bed keeping my kids out and the weapons safe.

I have looked at every other option out there and they seem crappy by comparison, what am I missing. Why the quick dismissal?

What a joke. The OP promotes the MonsterVault like it's a high security safe, better than residential security container (RSC) "crap" sold at big box stores. He even linked to a video showing how typical safes are weak and can be easily broken into. Sounds very convincing, right?

So I looked up the MonsterVault and it's actually weaker than any RSC sold at box stores. It's hard to tell just how bad it is because the manufacturer won't even publish the sheet metal gauge or the total weight, but you can see it's thin and would be easy to break into. And there are only two 1/2" bolts to secure the sliding drawer (which is ovbiously NOT heavy because it does not even use heavy duty drawer slides). It's basically built like a common garage tool box.

In fact, the video the OP linked to was produced by another company that does not sell the MonsterVault, and would likely criticize it as crap. The MonsterVault would be MUCH easier to break into than the RSC demonstrated in the video.

I agree that this post reads like a shill. At the very least, it's false advertising.

Saw this at the Gun Show at the Cow Palace..couldn't get the attention of the girl manning the table to ask a few questions..So I will pass on this item..
The drawer wouldn't close so it kept sliding open..Didn't seem very heavy duty..My Truck Vault felt more secure..

Look at the puny locking bolts and where they are located (behind the drawer's face, above the rail). They are not even on the drawer's centerline which means it would be very easy to pry that drawer open working near the bottom of the drawer.

the last place i'd hide anything would be under the bed. that's not hiding, that's inviting.

if my safe budget put me in the ballpark of this product, i'd instead look for a used safe.

Well under the bed is my only real option. Point me in the direction of another product then.

I am looking for options and this is the first I have seen.

I recognize the utility of an under-bed safe. Some people live in small apartments and don't have the luxury of space for full-sized safe. Although an under-bed safe is not going to be secure against a determined thief, it will protect against children and casual thieves.

But don't give us a glorified tool chest with a marginally better lock and then try to BS us that it's better than the RSC's sold at box stores. And don't false advertise by putting another company's video in your advertising to falsely associate your product with higher quality products. And don't make shill posts as a "satisfied buyer" to try to sell your crap.

If you can afford it Liberty is top notch, best safes around in my opinion. I don't know about under the beds, but I guess theyd be good for keeping some guns outta your kids hands not necessarily anti theft.
