Moving to Cali from Ohio

Cool, got tons of info here. Wife loves the move, I am not thrilled. San Fran area, Walnut Creek,San Rafael or San Mateo. I am unfamiliar with all of the west coast. I am just worried I will be losing my gun hobby. Any outdoor rifle ranges in those areas? Kind of being strung along in this whole move. Fish out of water anyone.

I used to go fishing in Medina... and shooting, and gun-shows, and riding dirt-bikes, and classic-car cruise-nights or just driving out that way for no reason at all down the open, non-stop portions of Rt. 303 to "see what a car could do" (though that's not Medina - same stomping grounds).

Ever go out to Carnie's in Brunswick on a balmy August Saturday night? (now called "Brunswick Family Restaurant" from what I could see on Google).

Haven't been there in more than 25 years. Those were always good fun times. Those were always good gun times.

I don't miss the snow blizzards, I don't miss the mosquito blizzards, and I sure don't miss road-salt; but I do miss the commonality of common-sense, camaraderie among complete strangers, and a general decency that was always more than enough in surplus in that part of Ohio.

I would advise you stay in Ohio, the weather here sucks, it gets really hot and really cold..at the same time!

Im in alameda so let me know if you a any questions. Walnut creek is nice and you have a few outdoor paper ranges within 30 mins. Keep in mind some cities/counties won't let you ship ammo. I would stay away from sf as much as possible. I only go when I need to.

There are outdoor ranges throughout the SF Bay Area. I had a website which listed all of them, but I can't find them now. Anyone else can help?
