    Was not disappointed:

Freaking brilliant. I recently had a gun with me when I showered. I was home alone and I had all my windows open. Afterward, felt a little silly and put it away. Probably won't repeat it - ever. I don't want to be that paranoid.

Time to move, or better meds for the paranoia.

Threads like this make gun owners look like fools.

Let the guy be prepared in his own way. Its funny because some extreme liberal will crap on us for having guns, the next guy will then crap on another guy for having too much guns, the next guy for carrying a gun on his person, the next guy for installing security cameras, the next guy for a home alarm, etc etc.

Answer his question or don't. If you start ridiculing someone for his level of preparation, who's perspective is correct? Is a progressive liberal correct in their view? Does me carrying a gun everyday seem like paranoia?

Maybe we're all just too paranoid and the leftist liberals have it correct. We should ban guns.

By the way, if you have extra guns...keep the more cheap but durable ones (like a glock) in with you.

Personally, I have internal motion sensors in the main areas and I enable them when I shower with the kids....the gun is near enough for me to jump to when the motion sensors go off so it doesn't need to be in/near shower.

If you think seriously about this, the bathroom is your most vonerable place in your home. Maybe just putting a knife in one of the drawers. Gives you something if someone breaks in..

You do bring up a good point. A dumb *** criminal....maybe it doesn't matter. However, a calculating one that knows your every move.....shower time would be the most vulnerable.

Again...for me...they'd have to know my internal layout and would have to somehow beat the motion sensors. I get the loud alerts and cops are on their way within 10 minutes (I know this by experience ).

Home Alarm remotes are the best. My security company recommended against setting the motion while I was at home......but.....I know the zones....and I have the remote.

I put my stainless steel ruger .357 on the sink while in the shower. I live in a bad area so I always carry when possible.

Haha. You want to be prepared right? Have you:
                        Installed an alarm?
                        Gotten a dog perhaps?
Locked all your doors and windows while you are in the shower?
                        Moved to a better area?

I always see "move to a better area". What if some folks do not have the money to do that? Or some of the other things on your list?

Too bad.....so sad right. I personally have the money to move....and would myself. However, I choose to not throw that into people's face in the case they are much less fortunate than I.

I wonder if you unload it while you do your deed to it.
