If you can sell it for more in California than it will cost you to replace it in another state -- sell.

If you sell several and can find their replacements at one location in your new state you can probably work a deal on multiple purchases and save even more. In most places you can take them all home with you within minutes. Multiple handgun (or AW if on Mexican border) forms are the dealer's reponsibility.

Sell the CA stuff just for the pure satisfaction of buying a firearm that relates to no list at all feeling pure freedom. I'm almost in tears as I type this..godspeed

I kept everything when I moved, and now I'm kicking myself. Off the shelf guns like Glocks, M&Ps etc. are a lot cheaper here in Texas. I could have sold my used ones, bought new, and still saved a lot of money.

How is an AR worthless out of state? Remove the damn bullet button and attach regular magazine. If you move or visit back the CA then put everything back on while here. Isn't that all there is to it?

They are worthless Re-sell value..... as a tool.. they are still fabulous..

No one in free-merica wants to pay top $$ for a mismatched upper/lower AR15. I got asked a bunch of times, why my upper and lower didn't match when I tried to sell mine, ended up splitting and selling the parts.

I just moved from California three weeks ago, kept everything I owned. I moved to California and brought all of my firearms, in legal California attire of course. I am sure I could have sold most as they were not california versions, no mag lock and chamber flag etc...I chose to keep them. To the wife's dismay, I have never sold a firearm that I purchased. If you are not in dire need of the funds, I would not sell. YMMV

Why a mismatched AR is worthless in free America puzzles me. Good parts are good parts.
