That's a lot of AR15 owners voting "D" at the polls. This may come as a shock to the OP, but people are very selfish. Unless the cops kick down THEIR door to take THEIR stuff, they don't care about the law or their rights.

If you think that's bad, then you haven't seen the antis on calguns. Yes, there are people on calguns who call themselves gun owners and claim to shoot, but support or ask for more regulation They're rare, but they exist. I think there may be more, but they're not vocal about it otherwise they get dogpiled.

2-3 months ago, a couple of calguns idiots posted 2 polls, maybe 2-3 weeks apart. Polls basically asked "would you trade required background checks for the entire country if you could get back national shall-issue reciprocal ltc?".

That's being stupid enough to believe that the CA legislature would even consider shall-issue LTC.

In both polls, half were in favor. WTF?

you would be floored by the number of people who own handguns (making them GUN OWNERS), yet, even they will be the first ones to tell you that "nobody needs a military style rifle"

these people most likely outnumber your typical well informed gun enthusiasts (calgunners? ).

some don't even realize its all connected to the 2A, tyranny doesn't factor into their gun ownership at all

gun owner or not, EVERYONE should be taught what the 2nd Amendment means to this country, then, maybe then, we would gain momentum, both, from gun owners and non-gun owners alike...I don't think you need to own a gun to support the 2A

I honestly do not understand Yee, DIFI, or any of these gun grabbing politicians. I had to go to the range to sight in for some future hunts in the fall, I wanted to make sure everything was on par and "get back in the saddle" since i have not been hunting in over a year. While I sighted in, I noticed my range neighbor's had AR's (cool I thought). I continued plinking away and making sure I was dialed... at the first cease fire, I looked around, saw a few more AR's, and went back to tack driving... the last cease fire as I got ready to pack up, i went on what i like to call "a shopping trip", generally seeing if there are any other cool toys out there, of the 53 shooting tables in use, 43 of them had an AR on the table.

HOW THE HECK can the gun grabbers go after the AR....with that kind of ratio?? THATS 80%..... I am sorry... isnt that right on the whole Heller "common use" clause? thats like banning everyone who owns a toyota...cause its a toyota...

I havent been to a shooting range in a while, and the last time I was there I did not notice there being an overwhelming amount of AR's.. However, now.....there's one every where you go! So how can, by the strike of a frikkin pen.... YOU MORALLY or ETHICALLY incriminate law abidding citizens??? I just dont understand it...

They see this as a feature of the law, not a bug.

Exactly. Next time instead of going "shopping", go "polling" and find out how many care about their gun rights enough to do something about it.

When you've got people representing you like Yee, Feinstein, Deleon, Boxer, Pelosi, etc. writing them letters and emails is not going to do a damn bit of good. It's not like the reps we have at the state and federal level that seem to be causing us the most problems are fence sitters.

You'd be more productive educating the gun owners about the problems caused by the people they keep voting for.

IF you wanted to ban all guns, where would you start?

Because the AR is scary looking despite it merely being a semi-auto rifle in function like any other semi-auto rifle and it's easy to demonize before the public because of general ignorance.

The AR of course is used so rarely to commit crime it's statistically insignificant yet here we are.

So the fact they go after the AR is proof it's not about stopping criminals. It's about control and power over us.
