    Went to the range....left dumbfounded

I honestly do not understand Yee, DIFI, or any of these gun grabbing politicians. I had to go to the range to sight in for some future hunts in the fall, I wanted to make sure everything was on par and "get back in the saddle" since i have not been hunting in over a year. While I sighted in, I noticed my range neighbor's had AR's (cool I thought). I continued plinking away and making sure I was dialed... at the first cease fire, I looked around, saw a few more AR's, and went back to tack driving... the last cease fire as I got ready to pack up, i went on what i like to call "a shopping trip", generally seeing if there are any other cool toys out there, of the 53 shooting tables in use, 43 of them had an AR on the table.

HOW THE HECK can the gun grabbers go after the AR....with that kind of ratio?? THATS 80%..... I am sorry... isnt that right on the whole Heller "common use" clause? thats like banning everyone who owns a toyota...cause its a toyota...

I havent been to a shooting range in a while, and the last time I was there I did not notice there being an overwhelming amount of AR's.. However, now.....there's one every where you go! So how can, by the strike of a frikkin pen.... YOU MORALLY or ETHICALLY incriminate law abidding citizens??? I just dont understand it...

Sometimes the standard answer fits the best:

    It's California.

I'm sad too, but then again, "majority" is against the pro-gun movements.

If all the gun owners would go out and VOTE, get active, and fight...

      we'd have SO much power!

Gun owners are a small, but vocal and powerful special interest group.

Sadly, a very small percentage have to fight for the overall group AND the rest of our fellow citizens.

You saw so many ARs at the range because everyone ran out and got one during the panic.

^ exactly. Lots of new AR owners trying out their new rifles. At least that is what I have experienced at my club. Plenty of them around.

                  This!!!
Everytime I get a chance to go to the range, it makes me want to buy/build another one.

Wish I had won the lotto, I'd be rolling in guns and ammo!

                    70 million gun owners.
                    5 million NRA members.

That's a lot of AR15 owners voting "D" at the polls. This may come as a shock to the OP, but people are very selfish. Unless the cops kick down THEIR door to take THEIR stuff, they don't care about the law or their rights.

If you think that's bad, then you haven't seen the antis on calguns. Yes, there are people on calguns who call themselves gun owners and claim to shoot, but support or ask for more regulation They're rare, but they exist. I think there may be more, but they're not vocal about it otherwise they get dogpiled.

Then you've got the gun owners(and this is a nation wide problem) who support anti 2a politicians because they don't care about the guns that the politicians want to ban, since their preferred guns aren't in the crosshairs of the politicians(yet).

To make matters worse, you've got openly anti 2a people sitting on the board of the NRA... a position they get elected to by members. It's bad enough that the NRA is run by a bunch of people who seem out of touch with the times/society, but when someone gets re-elected(multiple times) to the board after publicly making statements about people not needing mags over 5 rounds and other nonsense.

you would be floored by the number of people who own handguns (making them GUN OWNERS), yet, even they will be the first ones to tell you that "nobody needs a military style rifle"

how many "gun owners" do you think are out there who have ONE firearm that they purchased for HD...they really feel a need to know they have that firearm, in the home, to protect them and their families...that gun is never taken out for shooting practice, it sits there, either in a safely locked location, or in some other obscure part of the house, only at the ready in case of an emergency

these people most likely outnumber your typical well informed gun enthusiasts (calgunners? )...so, while you may very well have over 70 MILLION gun owners, you have no where near that amount of WELL INFORMED gun owners, and, that is where our problem lies...gun owners who don't understand the full concept of the 2nd Amendment, or its principles...all they know is that they can legally buy a firearm to protect themselves in the event there is an invasion in their home...nothing else computes, nothing else matters

some don't even realize its all connected to the 2A, tyranny doesn't factor into their gun ownership at all

my point is, numbers are always skewed, and this case, our representation isn't what some make think...our young people need to be educated about the 2nd Amendment, what it is there for, WHY it is there, something that is currently being conveniently overlooked in our educational system today, most likely by design

gun owner or not, EVERYONE should be taught what the 2nd Amendment means to this country, then, maybe then, we would gain momentum, both, from gun owners and non-gun owners alike...I don't think you need to own a gun to support the 2A
