    Another mass shooting?

    Link

With all due respect for those injured, this is seriously starting to make me wonder about the frequency and timing of these shootings.

I don't have the link handy, but "mass shootings" aren't becoming more frequent. It's like shark attack frenzy. And keep into account the media is playing a big part in increasing the intensity of coverage of every shooting, and this is for a purpose (pass more gun control.)

There aren't necessarily more mass shootings... there are more cameras.

Agreed with the more media coverage/more cameras comments. New Orleans has always been top 5 in the country for homicides.

IN the UK, the Hungerford and Monkseaton shootings happened within 2 years of each other. Both incidents were fairly nasty shootings, with Monkseaton happening AFTER Britian's enactment of "responsible gun regulation".

Considering the number of firearms in circulation in this country combined with the multitude of victim containment areas - the street name of "gun free zones"- it is a minor miracle a similar spectacle hasn't happened again. Due to the nature of legal armed self defense its probable dozens of mass shootings have been stopped by armed citizens . Without an "alternate universe machine" we'll never know how many.

I'm a say it right now, people are forking retarded, period. And if the media keeps giving all these mass shootings news coverage, dumb@$$ humans will continue to keep committing stupid stuff (like blasting away at crowds of people.) I rarely go to anything with a large gathering of two legged mammals. They are a magnet for numbskulls.

More people on medication than ever for all sorts of reasons, legitimate or not. More people feeling the pinch of a collapsing economy and overall grim outlook on the their future, and the future of the country= Desperation.

Desperation with feelings of no hope= big troulble for those who can't deal with the above. When that happens we all have problems. In other words, it is not the guns that are the cause.

I'm with everyone else on this. The frequency is about the same, the liberal media just makes a bigger stink of it these days.

The media breaks all of the rules. But who listens to the experts?

The guy at the 1:40 mark is world renowned forensic psychiatrist Dr. Park Dietz, who has worked with some of the world's most famous psychopaths including Jeffrey Damer.

Maybe the government is doing this to get the support of the "mom" crowd?

That would be a messed up way to get mom's on the side of gun control..

But in all honestly and not to sound harsh, considering how many guns and people we have in this country, mass shootings are fairly low.

If society and gun owners were really as evil as the anti's make us out to be, with all the guns in circulation and people in this country, mass shootings would be happening every hour on the hour.

reading the cnn article, seems less like a "mass shooting" and more like "random people in a crowd were hit by stray gang members' bullets"
RIP Cpl Contreras, Sgt Atwell and LtCol Raible.
