Big 5 Ammo Pricing. . . WTF Over?

So I decide to stop by my local Big5 here in Dublin to check and see if they have any ammo deals going on, lo and behold they have the awesome 100 rd valuepack 9mm Winchester White Box Range ammo! Im so happy to see those again I immediately start looking at how many they have because im going to buy them all!


Then I look at the price. . . . $32.99

wtf over? I call the manager over, and ask him if he can do a price check for me on them to insure that is the correct pricing, and he states, "well, ammo has gone up in price" but he does check, and that is indeed their pricing on it. I dont mind paying a little for it, but cmon now folks, that is rediculous!

Big 5 has never been a good place to buy ammo. Even their sale prices are lousy.

+1 on Wall Mart.. I just bought their supplies of 9mm and waiting for them to restock again... For those of you in SD that would be Wall Mart off of the 805 south after you pass Main Street in Chula vista... Can't reber the name of the exit though...

I like the way their "sale" prices change from week to week. For example: They had Mosin Nagants on sale at $79. A few days later, the same rifle was advertised at $89. And get this: you had to have the little cut out coupon to receive the sales price.

Shouldn't sale prices be going down, not up?

moisins and other surplus rifles are garbage condition at my big 5...ohh and did I mention overpriced.

big5 mosins, mausers and enfields are not priced that bad at all... u just have to look through a couple to pick a winner.

Yup, a big +1 on that. I know Alameda and COCO Countys don't have them, but if you drive 1/2 hour south to Milpitas, there's one a McCarthy Ranch just off of 237. That's where I get most of my ammo.

BTW, if you drive on down, let me know if you want to make a stop at TWM, always looking for an excuse to go to the range. Also, did you receive the CD OK?
