Ah yes. Still have a mark on my neck from my own .45acp bouncing off the wall.

First hot brass experience for me was in the Marines. I was on the Rifle Range, shooting the 200yd rapid. I shot lefty and took a case down the neck of my cammies. It was during the v-neck phase of t-shirts so it's right on my chest. I had already changed mags so just had to get through those final 5rds before I could get it to it. I had that scar for YEARS.

And this 5rds still went into the black with the first 5 to give me a possible.

Yeah, I've had the hot brass in the temple of the shooting glasses before. It leaves an impression.

My old Glock 17 was infamous for kicking the brass straight up into the air and down your shirt. I'd get one about every other range trip.
I've never seen an American flag burned at a gun show.

Just shoot Mini-14s, the brass will either reach orbit or pass through any barrier.

I had brass get stuck between the stem of my glasses and my face.

                That was unpleasant.

I had this happened to me with my glock 19 not too long ago , which throws brass straight to my face 10% of the time, I still have a scar below my right eyebrow . BTW , the glock is working great now , after I replaced the problematic ejector.

That's as bad as my wife being my brass catcher unknowingly as I was firing my colt 45 she caught 5 out of 7 rounds in her clevage

The worst brass burn I ever got was to the neck. Took forever to heal. Looked like a hickey for a while.

Too true. LOL. With my Mini I was safe but the guys 30' down the firing line were catching heck.

Thanks for reminding how I got the burn on my eyelid last Sunday. Hot brass went right between my eye protection. Been doing it so long I kept the gun pointed down range with my right hand and used my left hand to take the glasses off.

No collared shirts or tucked in shirts for me. Can't really stop the damn brass from bouncing off the wall and landing in my glasses though. Damn that was hot..

Same thing happened to me with a brand new Glock today. While I am bit peeved that my safety glasses had to deflect no less than 20 pieces of hot brass to my eyes with that new purchase, I was happy to know I have excellent trigger and muzzle control in that situation as I used my support hand to strip off my glasses. At indoor ranges, you are going to get hot brass in your shirt, it is just bound to happen. In my eye, that was a first for me
