Try working in a sawmill for 10+ years. It realy cut down on my flinch from gun fire.

Well, mine are ten years old and have not only survived hundreds of days at the range but also near daily use with power tools etc.

When I was a kid... My father and I used to shoot in the desert without hearing protection.
I definitely now suffer from some level of hearing damage. At times I do not hear people clearly. However, I have also damaged my ears several times while freediving.
Bottom line if you have hearing protection available USE it. If not... go buy some.Comment
