Compare your gun to a car

I read on a different forum, that somebody compared his/her surplus 1911 to a Lincoln Town Car.

To him/her, a Town Car is abundant, easy to fix, and classic looking.

I once compared my Ruger P89 to a 90's Honda Civic: many miles, still going strong without a part replaced.

If you were to pick a favorite gun and compare it to an automobile, what would it be and why?

Compare my Savage Stevens 187m to a 66 mustang. With a little TLC it has the potential to really shine.

Guns hold their value far better than cars in terms of depreciation.

Keep it in good condition and once it gets past 20k or so rounds, it looks the same to most people until well over 100k provided it's cared for.

My guns either look thrashed or pristine depending on whether they're safe queens or high usage. Not much in between

          Remington 870 and Mossberg 500

          =

Ford F150 and Chevy 1500 (respectively)

The Ford being a bit more stylish while the chevy is more utilitarian.

            My EDC is a S&W 442. And I drive a Subaru.
Both are simple, durable, easy to handle, unassuming, and most importantly they both can fit in small spaces and go everywhere.

And both cost too much to fill up!

My Ruger SR9C reminds me of my old 98 Toyota Paseo.
Compact making it easy to back out or park, engine always fired when I started it and didn't break the bank.

I have an M&P 9mm full size and I drive a 95 Toyota pick up. Both rugged reliable, dependable, don't look beautiful, but with little maintenance can run forever.

I would say my Gen 2 Glock 19 is exactly like my 84 Toyota Hilux 4x4, ugly, cheap, but can go through hell and back and still run like it was brand new.
