I was over at the dealershowroom a couple weeks ago and he had a vintage military one on a spindle for 60.oo. I wanted it but it was to big for my safe ; it sure was cool though.Comment

My little ranger doesn't have much room in the cab so I built this rack to sit about 4" off the bed on rails. Real convenient when were out hunting.

That is a really good idea. im going to have to borrow that idea.I go to the desert every year and thought of a cheap, lightweigt and compact rack system I used Harbor freight sawhorses bought on sale for 12 bucks
I bought the corrugated eaves fillers used on plastic roof sheets, for a buck at the local Ace Hardware store
And voila. The worlds cheapest folding gun rack:

On the sawhorse type racks:
If you screw a board to the bottom of the legs of the saw horse it will keep the gun butts off the ground and the weight of the guns will help keep the sawhorse from tipping over.Frank
