It's amazing how many people claim to love America but are willing to throw capitalism out the window as soon as it makes them have to wait a few more weeks for their gun...

There is no week nor day nor hour, when tyranny may not enter upon this country, if the people lose their supreme confidence in themselves -- and lose their roughness and spirit of defiance -- Tyranny may always enter -- there is no charm, no bar against it -- the only bar against it is a large resolute breed of men.

exactly. Whining about "gougers" is a communist trait. This is America, damnit. I've both sold things for more than I paid for them, and I've also paid the premium for things when they were scarce.Comment

See if you feel the same way when bread hits 15 bucks a loaf. I'm always amazed by my brothers and sisters on Calguns, it's like it's become the "in" thing to talk **** to people that have been pushed out of their hobby due to greedy sellers and low funds. Just sayin, just because someone is bummed out is no reason to clown on them.Originally posted by TeddyBallgamemaybe I'm wrong, but, if a $50.00 investment can help me a bit, i'll just have to go a day without the hookers and blow to cover it

it seems that some people on here love paying these high prices but if they have the cheese thats on them...
for the rest of us average joe's just don't pay the high price and it will eventually go down, that's also capitalism...don't add to the demandComment

Firearms while a constitutional right, are a luxury item. Crying that you can't afford one, it is too high priced/unavailable or the ammo to go with it is silly.See if you feel the same way when bread hits 15 bucks a loaf. Comparing 15 dollar Loaf of bread to Ammo High Prices isn't apples to apples.
Can't buy 15 dollar bread, go buy cheaper food items to eat. You will find something else in your price range(i.e. tortillas, beans, rice, corn muffins, twinkies) buy that and your family won't die of starvation.
Can't buy $1.50 per round of .223 to go to the range on Saturday. You won't starve and no one on Calguns cares.

So let me ask you this: according to your example, we'll be singing a different tune when bread goes to $15 a loaf. If you have a warehouse full of bread, can I count on you to sell it for $1 loaf? I mean, that was the price in the past, and you should shoot yourself in the foot financially to make up for my unpreparedness.See if you feel the same way when bread hits 15 bucks a loaf. This is how capitalism works, when prices go down, you'll probably buy 10,000 rounds of whatever you shoot and a bunch of Pmags and than be prepared when the next panic comes. Than you'll see where those of us who are prepared are coming from.Last edited by alfred1222; 04-16-2013, 12:34 PM.Originally posted by KestryllThis guy is a complete and total idiot.
