    Optics Planet

Just want to vent my frustration a little on this place.

I ordered some sights from Opticts Planet. They said that these sights are drop in parts for a Ruger GP100 and RedHawk. I paid $129 for them. I was thrilled when they came and tried to put the front sight on, to big. It does not fit into the mount. I emailed them because I want to exchange them for something that is accutally drop-in. They had the nerve to tell me that I am not eligable for a refund or exchange because sale to CA is restricted. I said that they shipped to me from them without a problem and the product does not fit. I would like to exchange them for sights that do. Again same thing, They do not ship to CA and sales were restrcted to CA. I had to call them and force them to take the faulty product back. They send me a RMA form and its only good for 10 days and I have to pay for shipping, extra fees for insurance, and the fees for the carrier to have them sign for the package. Then they will refund me the money withing 90 days. They were really quick to take the cash and send be a faulty product and then to refund me the money because they lied to me is a major issue. I do not reccommend anyone to do buisness with them.

If you've read reviews on OP, you wouldn't be surprised by this. I have bought from them through amazon twice, one I ended up sending back and amazon made sure it was smooth

        Have you contacted the manufacturer?

drop in parts are rarely drop in though.

Almost no sights are drop in and if someone trys to tell you that they're lying.

As a side not take it up with OP don't really care to hear you whine.

If it says drop-in - it should be. Period. The end.

Ruger has some setups where the sights can be truly drop-in.

If it says some fitting may be required, different story.

I've had some minor issues with Optics Planet as well. Mostly "product is in stock" but it really isn't.

Sorry to hear of this, it shouldn't happen.

There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

                    Hi vector16,

I'm sorry to hear you're having a frustrating experience with that sight as well as returns. As others have said, if you PM me your order number, our team will look into it and do their best to get you your money back. I'm not sure exactly what happened with your sight not fitting, but with a little more info, we'll work this out. Thanks! - Adam C.
