OK, I don't really need a bayonet, but I want one & that's reason enough for me to get one.
The rifle I want to mount it on is a Rossi M92 levergun, 16in barrel, .357 Magnum. I can't really cut back the magazine (which I've seen done on longer barreled leverguns) as that wouldn't leave me with a useful capacity. So, I'm thinking maybe have a figure-of-eight mount that encircles the barrel/magazine and takes the standard US military bayonet made up? Maybe have a spike bayonet mounted to the side, Brown Bess style? Maybe put it on top? No real preferences here.
As for why do I want one? Mostly to 'tick off' the grabbers. Having an "evil feature" is, in & of itself, worthwhile. Having one w/o penalty (because leverguns don't get rated on "evil features") amuses me.
Can this be done, or am I just nuts for even thinking of this?
