    .50 cal bmg ?

    guys , is california still allow civilian own and shoot .50 cal bmg ?

      Yes, if you have a registered 50BMG rifle or a 50BMG weapon that is not a rifle.

      What did you have in mind?

              hmmm, well i have a wish list that i can get a chance to shoot .50 cal. Well, I've shot before but i'm hoping i can get a chance to shoot again. I'm so in love with this beast.

                      We even have .50cal matches in CA!

                      What part of the state are you in? I know 50 shooters all over the state. Many enjoy letting a noobie take a shot or two.

                          50 dtc is allowed it is a 50 bmg with a slightly different case shape. Shoots same bullet.

                              hmm for real ? i live in rosemead and i don't mind to drive that far just to get a chance to know all the people that own .50 cal and shoot that beast.

                                                      Yes, get a 50DTC if you want to shoot a 50 and didn't have a 50BMG at the time of the ban and registered it. Its pretty much exactly the same.

                                                          Not even close. The .416 Barrett is more like a necked down 50 spotter than a 50BMG. That's sort of like comparing a 30-06 to a .223.
