    With that attitude
"would not ship to that cesspool in my life depended on it
    thanks"
He is supporting the anti's cause to disrupt all sales.

Instead of 3 states, he will not sell to......... today
It will be only 3 states he will sell to..... in the future.

I've had many G.B. sellers refuse to ship to CA. That's the first thing I ask now. Guess I'm used to it.

I see a lot of "no sales to California, don't even ask" on the GB listings.
One recent listing that comes to mind was for .22 LR ammo. ONE brick that had been bid up to $89, plus shipping.

You got the exact response that the CFLC program/law wanted you to get. Ultimately to make it the worst possible experience that a free person would go through to sell a firearm here.

Place blame where it belongs, with the Democrats that are running this state and your rights, directly into the ground.
Also for exporting those same ideas and thoughts to other states...
The blame resides with the California Firearms Retailers Association. They're the ones who put together the CFLC law in order to protect their members from the lower priced alteratives outside of California. The Dems were just their tool to get this protectionist law.

Actually we should bid on all his auctions. ( http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx...ellers=1745220 )

That is a perfect one to bid it up to $150 and then disappear.

I've talked to a few FFLs out here about the "no ship to CA" philosophy. Most have no issue with it, but one (who won't deal with CA) said that it's not worth risking his license. Since there are so many extra rules in CA, the FFL can lose their license if they screw up something in the paperwork. He basically said it was a CYA policy.

Whether you find that BS or not is up to you.

Not total BS but with a small amount of "education" not unworkable. Boils down to laziness and taking the easy way out.

I don't have time for the idiots like the one the OP is describing.

When I sell on Gunbroker, I try to include CA OK in my ad title. Nothing like making it easier for people with money to find my ad. In the body of the ad, I usually say "of course I will ship to CA".
Check back later for a witty comment.

I am focusing my sales on CA buyers. It is not easy to do this but in the long run I think it will be profitable enough to sell to CA.
Here are some of my issues:

                        Bullet buttons and named guns.

Figuring out what pistols are allowed.

Deciding on whether I want to buy a 17 round gun for 45+ states or a 10 round gun for 2 states. Does not make sense to stock it unless I know it will sell immediately.

CA buyers want their gun two days ago. It is a serious pain getting every document together before the gun ships. 99% of CA FFLs do not include the CFLC number on their FFL license so I have to make sure I ask for it. A few, maybe 5?, FFLs actually had the smarts to add a flc label on a blank space on the FFL license so I get it when faxed or emailed. OOS buyers have no idea how long it takes to process a CA gun sale vs a non-CA sale.

CA FFLs that charge $100-300 to receive the gun. I can understand if the CA FFL has the same gun in stock and just wants to sell his stuff but I have a larger inventory and master dealer status that only Bud's Gunshop can compete with. If the CA FFL can't get the gun then just charge a fair $25-40 for receiving the gun. I don't charge more than $150 for machine gun transfers and those $10,000+ guns have to be babysat by me for 6-18 months, not 10 days. I charge $25 to receive a gun from an FFL. TO be honest, it is so easy I could do it for free but the 5 minutes it takes me to open the box, log the gun in, and put the gun away in the safe takes me away from selling my stuff.

I'd rather buy a firearm from a local CA ffl anyday then deal with gb.com people. I look occasionally on there but maybe have bought one item that didnt require special instructions or paperwork. Buying ammo on there....forget about it, its overpriced for one and two....no one will ship to CA anyway.

I beg to differ. My GB auctions for ammo I have sold explicitly state I will sell to CA buyers. And in fact, my auctions state that if you do NOT sell to CA or other restricted states when it is legal to do so, then DO NOT BID on my auctions. I always check winners history to ensure that is so.

I hate the "to hell with those CA gun owners" attitude. Massachusetts just south of me is worse for gun laws, but I rarely see bias against them.
