IDEAS FOR A AR BAG ?

HI GUYS LOOKING FOR A TRANS PORT BAG FOR A 34 1/2 inch AR 308. What I'd really like is something that doesn't scream I've got an AR rifle in here. Maybe something with two types of carry, one being a backpack kinda thing. It will need to hold hopefully rifle w/scope, mags, extra ammo, bipod muffs and a few other things. A hand gun would be nice, but not totally necessary, would just be nice. Anyone tried or have one of these ?
    Thanks...

My guitar bag DOES look cool

          It's pretty incognEEtO

I feel completely comfortable walking anywhere with that on my back. Only thing that gives it away is the lock.

Here's what I do: I insert my firearm in the appropriate soft case for the particular firearm ie., a case with mags pouches, securing straps, dividers, pockets, molle, etc. I then stick that tacticool gun case inside a non-guncase-imprinting plainjane-looking duffle/gym bag for transporting from building to vehicle to shooting venue...the more nondescript the duffle/gym bag the better. This is the way to go IF you're not concerned about being a quick on the draw when you're danger close. Your firearm is protected AND relatively safe from inquiring eyes when you're hand-carrying it or transporting it in your vehicle. Try not to be too vain about how not cool it looks. Suffer the snickers to save your stash.

I'd rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

That's Ok but looking for something I can also keep all together in my safe. As a don't need to think about it, it's all there kinda thing. You know, buddy comes by says let go to range, just grab and go, with no thought about it, cause it's all there. Ya know ?

The same thing...and a bigger duffle for your other stuff and bigger safe to make it and your other precious metals fit.

Now that's more like it. I wasn't really looking to break it down, but you got me thinking about it. I do like all the extras for it, and it looks snug & protected.

Thanks. and still open to other suggestions

I'm using the Gibson soft case bag that my Les Paul came with.
It's relatively discrete and it's got a pouch on the front for magazines and stuff.

                      Guitar bags are cool!

The longer I own an AR, The more I want a tricked out Guitar case! People "wonder" about discreet cases, a Guitar case, not even close. They just smile at you, my buddy has one.

My son's old baseball gear bag makes a great soft bag for duck hunting- all my gear, guns, shells, camo coveralls, boots, etc. The bonus is that it's got rollers!
