because like it or not, bad guys already own high capacity magazines. If normal citizens can have them, that evens the playing field.

If my life is in danger, I want the upper hand. If that means having higher cap mags so be it.

First disarm the citizens before you (*?#*&! ) if you can't, try to have them turn against one another, ( Divided & conquer ) Like turning Traditional bolt gun hunters against Sport shooters. Make THEM think though media, magazines, and other propaganda, that these are evil. Use them to disarm half of the gun owner population, & when the smoke clears start another campaign to take the most deadly fire arm of all, that highly accurate bolt gun, you know the one.
It's the one capable of long range shots ( range to be determined later for these ) . So what I'm saying is if you give an inch the'll take an inch, and try again for another mile. They will never stop, D.frankinsine of Cali has be bitting on this bone almost her whole career, that my friend has been a really long time, and she shows no sign of slowing down. Don't believe, try watching her debates in the Senate.

DON'T LET THEM ( DIVIDED 7 CONQUER ) OR WE WILL PAY DEARLY

Funnily enough you've gone straight to the typical anti nonsense about nukes and anthrax, while ignoring everything else. The only thing you haven't done is claim that small arms need to be banned(since those are also "weapons of war"), even though the constitution makes absolutely no differentiation between a ship loaded with cannons, and a basic rifle. Using your liberal brainwashed thought process that ignores the history of our nation, you should just start proclaiming that we need to ban everything but muzzle loaders.

Or are you finally going to figure out how to explain away history between 1776 and 1900?

edit: And before you complain about again being called a liberal, anti, or whatever... you're the one ignoring our history and using anti 2a group arguments.
yes merc... The 2nd A allows you to own Anthrax and Nukes...Its a right reserved to American civilians and the US Government will invade any country that trys to have that same right... just drop it, its going right over your head.

LOL, still going for the anti 2a hyperbole. I guess 30 more years of brainwashing about "weapons of war" and you'll be agreeing that we don't need semi auto handguns and rifles either. But that's ok, why look at history when you can just ignore it thanks to the constitution being a "living document" or whatever nonsense.

This is how the media makes gun owners look like idiots. They find the one guy in a crowd of reasonable people and thats to fool they put the camera on.

There isn't a single sane person in the whole world who believes the 2nd Amendment gives an individual the right to weapons of mass destruction like nukes and weaponized anthrax.

My friends gave their lives to stop a mad man from using those on his neighbors... You have no idea what you are talking about and quite frankly are making yourself look like a person who needs a 5150 hold placed on himself. You appear to have lost touch with the real world.

If you actually believe the Bill of Rights says you have un-infrigned, unregulated and unsupervised rights to Sarin gas, Anthrax and nukes..you are a threat to society. No one would support you on this..NO ONE.

You have no clue how this country was built, but I know you can list all the events. You have no clue as to what it takes to live in a world filled with evil, yet I know you know its all around. You can't even read a simple sentence, written in plain English, that acknowledges the right of arms to the people, yet I know you can recite each word.

I have un-infrigned rights to arms. My Government acknowledges this fact with the Bill Of Rights, 2nd Amendment. Some members of the Government want to take that away...some have already done that.

If Bill Gates wants a Nuke, he has to apply for the permits, meet the statutory regulations and submit to safety inspections by the Government...as per the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8 and section 10 as nukes are what is considered "ships of war" and are used in the general defense of the country.... this is reserved under the law of the Republic as duties held by the Federal Government and Congress.

You're the one bringing up nukes(and a nuke isn't a ship... seriously, where do you get this stuff?) and the other extreme of anthrax. Again, the only train of thought that typically follows "omg, the 2a isn't for nukes, anthrax, and weapons of war" starts trickling down to cannons(I'm talking stuff like 30mm and up, not a black powder cannon shooting 6 pound balls or whatever), grenades, machine guns, short barreled rifles, and all of the other things our wonderful government has determined to be too dangerous for you and I to possess. All the while ignoring the history of the country, including that of citizens, wars, etc.

Because there is a line that you do not see, everyone else sees the line and understands where it is. Its common sense, yet very smart people such as yourself can't seem to grasp this very easy reality.

I will spell it out for you one last time, then you and I can take this to the PMs.

color added so you can hopefully see where common sense is...

                  2nd A
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

I stand up for and defend the 2nd A...all of it. I am not the guy who says, I have a freedom of religion...but you don't. Every gang banger and psyco has a 2nd A right granted to them by God. We take that away from them for the security of the nation. There is a common sense logic that says a gang banger doesnt have the God given right to nukes, bombers or anthrax...and even if your God does say that criminal can have those weapons, OUR LAWS SAY HE CANNOT. WE ARE A REPUBLIC OF LAWS.

                  USC
The Congress shall have Power provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States;....
No State shall, without the Consent of Congress keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay

"Ships of War" were weapons used to bring the fight to another country. A nuke is a ship of war when you account for what it meant back then and take that into account.

they are needed for the same reason you need a 1st amendment to ask this question. because it is a right, not a privelige.

prior to a filibuster the president and the attorney general were saying it is ok to use a drone to kill us citizens in the USA. a drone fires hell fire missles so why can i own hell fire missles and phalanx guns to shoot down drones while defending my family? well if i had more money instead of my mosin nagant weapon budget.

The real question should be, why should law abiding citizens be forced to use low capacity magazines rather than standard sized.
