It just amazing that there are a few here that want to bust peoples chops on a spelling error.......simply amazing! Pretty good story Robert, but why the hell did you buy the part from that establishment after eating the old timers crap? By the way the picatinny rail has slots in them so your rings or risers bolts have a slot for them to rest in thus making a solid mount for your optics! I guess set screws would work too.

Heavy set man? I have been in there several times, some/most of the staff is cool. The heavy set older man in there flips out when I ask him about their OLL's. They have a few complete lowers hanging on the wall, and a few uppers.

About 6 months ago I went in there, noticed they had a few complete uppers on wall next to the Bushmaster Carbon-15. I asked, him "since you sell uppers, do you also sell lowers", he flipped out and told me the typical "off-list receivers are illegal, we only sell uppers" etc etc.

A few months later I went in to buy some ammo and noticed a few complete lowers on the wall. I asked him about them again, and he said the same thing! I tried pointing out to him that I was referring to the ones they had on the back wall, he still wouldn't have it...kept telling me that off list receivers are illegal (so why are they selling complete lowers)?

I don't understand...for all he knew I was a potential customer, if he doesn't want to explain them to people then how does he sell them?

Ok... I'll fight anyone who wanys to bag on RCGE. Go elsewhere if you don't like them.

Put yourselves in a gun shop clerk's position... All day, Keyboard commandos and guys who ONLY read gun magazines all trying to get the BEST deal of the century, all trying to SHOW OFF how much they know about a gun, and all trying to get in tight with the gun shop, only in hopes for a better deal. Meanwhile, all interjecting their opinion and interpretation of the laws, the way they are, and the way they should be. Lest we forget the vast subject of "stupid questions" (yes, there is such a thing).

              Cheers.

Doesnt excuse treating a customer like that, At all. He asked a legitimate question, and got trashed for it by someone we all know acts like this on a pretty regular basis. It doesnt matter what your personal thoughts are on River City, what matters is they lost what could be a future customer and now that customer has posted their personal experiences for others to see. No need to get internet tuff guy about it. All that does is make you look ignorant to all the others around here. Trust me when I say, not everyone here hangs out at gunshops to the point where they feel the need to defend them with their fists over a customer who had a bad shopping experience.

Even the best companies have customers who have had bad experiences. You're saying people can't complain at because you personally have good experiences with them? Your argument works for every retail situation. With people like you hanging out there all the time, I'm glad I've taken my business elsewhere.

It was a joke, man. But I'll stand behind RCGE & their customer service from now until the day I die.

Well put stormfeather! It's all about customer service no matter how trivial or stupid the questions are. Even though they may be a fine establishment all it takes is for one employee to have a poor attitude and customer relation skills which can be detrimental to the buisness bottom line. If I recieved this kind of customer service no matter the buisness I would take my buisness elsewhere. supersonic.......sorry but I was a little hopped up on caffeine yesterday morning! Bad nights sleep.....my apologizies. CRTguns......this is for you my friend!

This thread is funny. I haven't had one employee of RCGE tell me OLLs are illegal and I'm in there (what my wallet considers to be) too much. What I have been told is plain and simple- legalities, staff, and a customer's feelings aside, RCGE has chosen not to enter into the OLL commerce trade. They seem to be doing just fine without dealing in them.

                            CRTguns,

There is a such thing as a STUPID QUESTION!
Just a little clue for you.
It's the question that someone don't ask. That wants to know something.

You shouldn't have bought it this time. If you hate the service, don't give them ANY business.
